SCAM!!!! I bought a 3 month membership with a promo code (since their normal rates are a ripoff), and so a match posted really old and glamour shot pics on her eharmony profile. So the match gave me her facebook, where she looked 30 eyars older and 100 lbs heavier now. So I just mentioned in a eharmony email to her that she looked different than her eharmony profile pics (totally nice about it). So she must have reported me (for saying that, what a joke). So eharmony cancelled me (without a refund) and so their customer service is awful to deal with. So I filed a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau and filed a California State Attorney General's office for their disgusting billing practices. lol, eharmony them immediately refunded me. They are a SCAM!!!!!!!! ***if you have any billing issues with eharmony, just file a Better Business Bureau complaint against them and they will immediately refund you.****They are NOT a Christian organization at all as Neil Warren, the founded, sold it to a company which also owns a gay website. DO NOT JOIN EHARMONY!!!!!!!!!!

E-harmony is the biggest rip-off ever. They bombarde you with offers of matches until you sign up and then nothing- After several weeks- I have had one or two matches and they live thousands of miles away and are otherwise undesirable. There are free websites out there that are of much higher quality and offer more match opportunities. I agree with other reviewers that a class action should be pursued. I tell everyone that I know to stay away from E-harmony. If you are going to pay, go to Match or other sites for better value for the money that you pay.

Im another of the 20% who quote 'We believe that it is useless for you to continue when we know from the very start that we will not be able to match". But then they'd like me to use their site to quote " Advice page is a fun and informative community that will give you the opportunity to learn more about yourself and creating healthy relationships" And a personality profile to boot.. Pretty poor form in my book, we cant match you but we can tell you how to be a better person and have better relationships... ouch !!! Whilst there's no reason they cant be selective about who they match, quoting match rates is misleading when not being transparent they stack the system to enhance outcomes. This is my problem with eHarmony.

- stars
eharmony claims they can't match 20% of the people who fill out profiles. Yep, I was one of the 20%. Learned from a social worker friend that eharmony is extremely conservative and homophobic.
In retrospect, I'm glad they couldn't match me. I'd like to meet the rest of the 20% though.

Eharmony in my opinion is an absolute SCAM ! I paid for 3 months and I'm just about half way through - have only had 6 matches sent to me and they are far from matches (in my opinion). I've contacted the staff and had an on-line chat asking why I've had so few matches and they just said that i would have to relax my settings if I wanted to receive more. Well, if i relaxed my settings I wouldn't be honest in what I really want, would I ??!! It's not as if I'm asking for much ! It is so disheartening. Also, you can't go searching yourself - they have full control of who they send to you. By the way, some people don't even have the decency of replying if they don't like you! I did register with 3 other dating websites and have had more luck with them - at least there is plenty of men to choose from ! I would never recommend eharmony to anyone.

RIP-OFF! RIPOFF! RIP-OFF!! there is a "free communication" event going on for the rest of february. but it is not free and there is no communication with anyone real. i am a normal guy with normal interests and a dog, and they rejected one of my pics because of the dog, and then wouldn't let me see anyone's pictures without paying for it. there is nothing free about this. i would give no stars or a negative star if i could (would that be like a "black hole," or a dark star?) either way , at least match.com gives you three truly free days and will let you share pics.

If no stars were possible, that's what I'd give this site. My worst experience with customer service EVER. When I attempted to disable the automatic renewal, it didn't work. The next day, they automatically withdrew $60 from my account. When I called customer service, they basically said, no refund, read the terms and conditions. Unbelievable. I've never dealt with anything like this before. This is how they make their money. Bottom line, it's a SCAM.

This should read "no stars!!!" I paid for a 3 month subscription to eHarmony and filled out their profile questionare. You don't get to see it again later, let alone change it. I wish I could, because the women they sent to me right away looked like my grandmother and had a huge relationship with God. I must have said I attend church, which I do, but I'm not that hung up on religion. Why did they think that was the most important thing in the world for me? After discarding these matches, I didn't receive any for a month. Then, only one. Another grandmother! At the end of my 3 months they automatically renewed me. But still no matches. There is no way to look for a match. They have total control and they didn't offer anyone. They say they have thousands of people signing up daily. I'm sure there are some nice, lovely women I would be suited for, but I can't get to them. Yes, this site is a total scam, out to get my money and offer nothing in return! I hope this message gets through to others before they put their money out there. Go to Match.com or someplace where you can actually control some things. Don't depend on eHarmony to decide who is right for you. They sure had it all wrong in my case.

Totally a Scam! EHarmony advertised it was free for a month. Specifically they avertised that you could "communicate free for a month". What a waste of time! You aren't communicating, you are allowed to send a flirt, or a generic set of 5 one way questions. And of course after being sent back through your profile over and over again because it's incomplete, you find that if you don't PAY for their rely rating it says you haven't completed the profile. Sorry, but to me if there's a charge then it's not free. Anyway, after you've messaged back and forth with their little flirt, then questionaire section, you have to PAY to use an email. Again that isn't FREE, and that sure isn't the truth where they advertised how you could communitcate for a month for free. You can play their little game for the 2 or 3 initial contacts and then you can't reach them unless you pay! THAT IS NOT A FREE MONTH OF COMMUNICATION. Then I seriously believe that the first 2 or 3 people they claim want to meet you is also a figment in EH's data banks. I hadn't even finished filling in the profile when I had 3 people already lined up as matches! If I could rate this site as a negative star rating I would. Please don't waste your time or money. Because even if you paid their exorbatent fees, IF the person you are matched up to isn't a paying member then you're out of luck. That doesn't seem fair.
