I have reported true.com to the BBB and the FTC. Please, if they scammed you too, file an FTC and BBB complaint. It doesn't take long. I have sent true.com and Scott Fowler of true.com emails. I have also been emailing true.com customer care. I will be calling them over and over every day until they stop. They must be stopped. Also, I would like to see them removed from MySpace. I'm sure other advertisers would have no problem taking their place on MySpace.

What a joke. I filled out a profile after reading about what a scam this is. I wrote that I am 4'10" and 250 lbs. and bald. Amazing how attracted women are to really short, obese bald guys these days!! Without a picture I have gotten at least a dozen winks and 5 emails within 5 days. I wonder how ridiculous one could get with their description and still get these phony responses?

Why can't I select zero stars, or better yet, negative stars?

As already discussed by others, true.com is a totally fraudulent web site. My brief experience echoes what others have said --- the activities of the people who own this site are about as criminal as it gets. You can expect to receive a bunch of faked winks from alleged users within 24 hours of putting up a free profile. The winks are not from real people. If you are as foolish as I am and actually give true.com your credit card number and join the site, don't be surprised when you never hear from those who winked at you.

The site uses paid shills to keep you subscribed for as long as they can. These paid low-lifes will write to you, talk on the phone with you using prepaid untraceable cell phones, and lead you on. You can tell the paid posers because they won't give you an email address -- they'll insist you communicate thru true.com mail. They won't give you a phone number -- they'll call you.

I told my bank that I lost my credit card and had the card cancelled within 24 hours of joining this site, because that's when I tripped across this review web site. That gave me enough time to jump on the phone and cancel my credit card before these crooks could slam a bunch of charges to me. The woman at the VISA service desk had heard all about these crooks -- that's never a good sign, is it?

Why hasn't the Attorney General of the state this site is in shut these jerks down? I'd like to see their sorry asses carted off to a pentitentiary for a good long time. It seems that they've certainly ripped off a lot of innocent folks.

Maybe 20/20 or Dateline or one of those other TV magazines could do an expose about these criminals? If you know someone from one of those shows, tell them about the true.com scam!!!!

True does not deserve ANY stars! I did meet a couple of very fine ladies but in the process, but in the process I was inundated with faked "winks" and "I want to know more" e-mails. I cancelled my account and received a confirmation but was ripped off for another $50 afterwards. My mail was ignored when I requested a reversal of these illegal charges to my account. When I was finally able to contact a real person to insist that they no longer steal from my bank account, I was assured that no further charges would be incurred, they deleted my profile and account regardless of the fact that I was prepaid for another 2 weeks. I called them again to resolve THAT issue and was assured me that I could send and receive mail for the duration of my PAID membership. This was just another True lie!

You can not trust true! My bank has been instructed to ignore any further charges from these thieves! My attorney has been contacted.

This site needs to be shut down. It's almost an entire scam. They have actual people that are hired by True.com that are PAID to email you, PAID to get in contact with you, keep this up for about a week and when you're suppose to meet them, they ditch you. They use prepaid cellphones for their numbers. How do I know? It's happened to me. She was a complete talker. It was like she rehersed for the phone conversation and emails. Anything I liked, she liked. She wanted to go out on a date, and she blew me off. Told a friend about it and he started laughing. He said he wasn't laughing at me, just at the fact he knows people who have admitted to working for sites like True.com in order to keep people signed up longer. It all makes sense... they need money on an active subscription, if you meet someone, you will cancel your account. So they hire people to try and "stall" other users. Get them interested and after 1 - 2 weeks when they disappear, they'll come back searching for a new person on the website.

Also if you try and cancel your subscription on True.com it's a pain in the ass!!! You need to call them up and they keep trying to give you an extended free period.

This site needs to be shut down also for the fact you feel every profile is not real. It's like everyone here has stated, you will get winks from people, then you reply and you never hear from them again. You send emails out and not one will ever get replied to. People will send you emails, you reply to them, and then never hear from them again either... it's a screwed up site.

What a waste of time and money is all I have to say. This website fed on my emotions as well as my pocketbook for 2 months. I would send emails and winks out to members who interested me but never did I once get a reply. I then get bombarded by winks from people who are nowhere near my match and I get emails from people who seem to not know proper english. I cancelled after a month but sure enough, a charge appeared on my credit card for the next month.

"If is seems to good to be true, it probably isn't."

Good riddence...

These people deserve their low rating. I have two main problems with them. They will send notices to people that you are interested in them without your knowledge. And, they were slimy about my attempt at cancelling membership. When I called to cancel, they, without my knowledge, gave me a 30 day extension, then my account was somehow reactivated. So this monthly charge ($50!) shows up on my credit card. They refused to refund it.

They want your money and will do anything to get it.
