What a waste of time and money is all I have to say. This website fed on my emotions as well as my pocketbook for 2 months. I would send emails and winks out to members who interested me but never did I once get a reply. I then get bombarded by winks from people who are nowhere near my match and I get emails from people who seem to not know proper english. I cancelled after a month but sure enough, a charge appeared on my credit card for the next month.
"If is seems to good to be true, it probably isn't."
Good riddence...

These people deserve their low rating. I have two main problems with them. They will send notices to people that you are interested in them without your knowledge. And, they were slimy about my attempt at cancelling membership. When I called to cancel, they, without my knowledge, gave me a 30 day extension, then my account was somehow reactivated. So this monthly charge ($50!) shows up on my credit card. They refused to refund it.
They want your money and will do anything to get it.

I will bet any of you reading this that the review posted before me was made by a True employee. Yes, this company is that sneaky. The owner, Herb Vest, has already found himself in court more than once. The site is a total scam.

OMG SCAM SCAM SCAM!!!!!!! My friends and I joined true to see who would get the most hits (ok it was dumb) and to piss off our bfs. we thought it was free and i never ever ever put my dad's billing info in. I had no idea what kind of credit card he even had. Then tons of wink backs from ppl I never winked at. I cancelled and saw that they had billing info and I was being billed. Now either its fake info, but they knew my dad had mastercard. If we get billed, that means that they stole his info...Illegal! I am absolutely absolutely determined to take action against them. I really really think that it is absolutely necessary because they seem to continue to bill even after cancelling membership, and claim the account was re-opened. Which means the billing will not stop. Something MUST be done!

Warning, TRUE has shills on this site posting positive reviews. Yes, they are that sneaky.
For your information Lisa in DC you stupid c*nt shill, I have zero credit card debt and have called to cancel multiple times, and they keep billing anyway. I hope I don't meet you on any site you b1tch, not that I ever would, because you probably work for TRUE's do-anything-to-salvage-our-reputation department.

SCAM!!!
After cancelling, if you EVER click on an email from TRUE, it will cost you FIFTY DOLLARS!!!
I repeat: Clicking an email from TRUE will cost you $50, for the rest of your life. They refuse to remove your credit card from their database.
Nowhere in the email does it say they will do that.
I've cancelled 3 times. They made it impossible to log into my account, and yet they keep billing me. To make matters worse, some of the customer support people are RUDE and don't help. If you get Charles on the phone, just hang up, because he's a f***ing pr1ck.
I'm going to do everything I can to destroy this company.

Well, there's no point repeating what everyone else has already said. There's nothing I can add to the mix other than I've had the identical experience with true.com as everyone else, like trouble cancelling my "subscription" to getting bombarded with 3-day "free" trial offers that are rolled into full subscriptions without your permission (in other words, they retain your credit card number AFTER you've "cancelled" and bill you after 3 days.)
I've also experienced the "fake winking" issue as well. I've gotten winked backed at by people I never winked at (or would even consider winking at) in the first place.
In a nutshell, TRUE.COM is a complete SCAM. Don't even consider signing up for ANY reason.

This site is a complete ripoff. They over billed me during my "free trial offer" stating that the funds were only taken for account verification. After I was billed $50 I was completely pissed off so I called them and told them I wanted my money back and my account closed down, and the "manager" agreed. It's been a week and no sign of the money yet. I strongly believe that in a disgusting act of vengeance, they are randomly sending emails with my screen name to random people in my area because I have been receiving an unusually high amounts of emails from hideous girls saying they want to meet me. I AM ABSOLUTELY INTERESTED IN A LAWSUIT IF ANYONE ELSE IS WILLING BECAUSE THIS SITE DESERVES TO BE SHUT DOWN FOR GOOD.

I had the most horrible experience with True.com. They gave me the 3 day free pass and I didn't use it. So, I called them on the third day (3 times) and couldn't get through. I then tried to cancel online the next day and called them the day after. They told me that it was too bad for me and I wasn't getting my $50 back. The 'manager' also told me that she is aware that I called 3 times because their computer logs every called that comes in whether it is answered or not, but since I didn't speak with a person, there is nothing she could do. She KNEW I called to cancel and still did nothing. I have never experienced such horrible customer service. They even gave me a lecture and one rep said 'well, we'll be sure to cancel your membership right away. we don't want someone to click on you and you not want the service because then somebody out there is just going to be so heartbroken and we don't want that.' and then they sent me an e-mail today about matches that want to meet me - after I told them countless times that I do NOT want anything to do with this website. I'll join a civil suit if anyone starts one.
