I found that when I was on Yahoo Personals, the availibility of my profile would go from on to off for NO reason. I was told about this by a couple of the women I had exchanged emails with. This site has some serious functionality issues
Yahoo's working hard to drive away decent people, and they're working harder at attracting TROLLS to their site. I guess this would explain the quailty that you'll find on Yahoo Personals.

I have tried many dating websites and finally met someone on Yahoo personals. However, I believe it was just luck and great timing. Whatever it was I still thank Yahoo for bringing my boyfriend into my life. I'm 35 and was wondering if I'd ever meet anyone with the same goals. Well, he emailed me, we went on a date, and we've been dating for six months with the intent to eventually marry. If Yahoo personals wasn't available, I would have never met him, he lives 45 minutes away. So I'm extremely grateful to this website.

Kevin and I met on Yahoo Personals August 8, 2004 (I still have the 1st email he sent to me). We chatted briefly online then he asked for my phone number. Our 1st phone call lasted over 3 hours! He was on the road a lot so we spent HOURS talking on the phone. When we met for the first time it was like we had known each other forever. We became best friends then we fell in love. On December 26, 2006 we were married and I have never been happier. Whenever people ask how we met, I say Yahoo Personals. It's a fun and easy way to meet people. And at a fraction of the cost of the other dating sites, it was one of the best investments I ever made.

I had never tried the whole online dating thing before and then I decided to check out Yahoo personals and I am so glad that I did, I found my soulmate on there, we talked for a few days before we found out he actually knows some of my family. He is a really great guy, we only got to go out once and then he was deployed to Iraq, but we have been together for six months now and we deiced that when he comes home in October we are going to get married. Honestly I don't know what I would do without him in my life, I have never been so happy as I am now. Thanks Yahoo Personals.

I was pleasantly surprised with my second date from the Yahoo personals, she didn't post a photo so I didn't know what to expect. She is absolutely beautiful, smart, very caring, loving, and an all around great lady. We have been dating now for nine months , and I think I will be asking her to marry me over the labor day weekend

Yahoo Personals is messed up just like the rest of the entire Yahoo site. The YIM system, message boards, and their other features constantly fail to function properly, the same as Yahoo personal fail to function. These matter with Yahoo just piss me off, and I'm considering on just paying for an AOL or MSN account.
With that said, it's not even worth paying for a Yahoo personals account because you never know if you're going to be able to log in that day, you have no idea if your email was actually sent to another user, and you won't know if your profile even listed on their site.

Yep Yahoo stinks, right along with Fling & Hornymatches, my advice to anyone is don't bother & save your money. These sites are mostly now loaded with con artists & scammers. Their pics are almost total fakes and the bios are just plain give aways because their ether sugar sweet or the english is really bad. Dudes I don't care how lonely or horney ya are, don't spend your hard earned money on this useless crap. It's all just a ripoff, taken over now by the pros or the badly overweight. And I hate to tell you these beautiful young girls are really guys that will try to get you to send them money so they can meet you. That's one way of knowing who they are. Alot of times they will say they are interested in "erotic chat" so go ahead & send them a fantasy. You won't get a response. Why? Cause it's a guy & now he's faced with having to write back & he's getting alittle unsettled. You'll know it if the replt is just a general Q's or more lame BS. Just don't do any of these, save your money for an investment & retire early....M

If Yahoo Personals was sending happy members to this site don't ya think there should have been more reviews? Whoever it was that was writing those reviews must have got tired out from writing fallacious testimonials. I'd get tired if I had to lie 100 times. Lying like that would get someone sent strait to hell. That's probably what happened to the fake reviewer, that person died.
If only 100 people are really satisfied with Yahoo Personals, than that must mean the millions of others aren't.

Dumb site... Stay away and don't pay.
Yahoo has no standards at all. Most of the women on Yahoo are moderatly to extremely unattractive, and 90% of the profiles on Yahoo have been inactive for over a month. There seems to be an unusual number of women on Yahoo who seem to be mentally handicapped. I think the typical yahoo user is some trailer-park dweller who stole a Celeron-based computer from a yard-sale, or they dug a computer out of a Dempsy-dumpster at a middle-class apartment complex.
(Dumpster diving at a middle to high end apartment complex or condo is a great way to find an old computer. I know this b/c I see computers in the garbage every couple of weeks at my apartment complex.)
The site in it's self is dysfunctional. Searching for other members is tougher than on all the other sites. When you run a profile search on Yahoo the profiles move around from page to page, so you'll end up not seeing one profile and seeing another listed twice on Yahoo. The profile pictures are always blurry. Finally, on Yahoo the icons aren't too noticable. Yahoo just has a very generic feel and look to it's site.
In all areas Yahoo lacks when compared to other sites. Yahoo Personals is a waste of time and money. There's a 90% chance you won't even find a date. I would never recommend Yahoo Personals to anyone.
