I agree with some of the other comments that I've read here, I'd give them a 0 star rating too if it was an option. The site is horrible and I feel sorry for anyone who's wasted their money like me and can't get it back. Some of their problems:
1) Can't see who's logged in recently, so you don't know if they are actively looking or not.
2) Most profiles don't have pictures and you feel like ghosts are behind the curtains.
3) Profile section is too long and too many pages, no one fills it out so you only learn generic stuff that they checked off from a choice of 4 options.
4) Customer service is useless - For more on that check out my blog - "Not a Fan" -ziazitella.wordpress.com/2010/06/19/not-a-fan/ You'll get a better feel for how they treat people.

I could go on, but I'll sum it up by just saying - AVOID THIS SITE!

I received a perfect match. Wonderful girl. Engaged two months later and will be married 3 years in September. I love this service. It does not work to hook up it works to find true love. I truly do not understand why so many people have written bad reviews

The worst aspect of the site is it does not tell you the last time someone logged in or let you browse for free. I signed up for a week trial expecting it to be a quality match.com/eharmony hybrid. Instead it's awful. I'm sure some people have met on this site, but writing a message and having no clue if the person has even logged in is ridiculous. For all you know, the profiles can be of people who haven't logged in for months. Match.com is much more user friendly. Anything that doesn't let you search for free is suspiscious in my book.

I did a review of Perfectmatch.com and gave them 1 star (because I couldn't give 0 stars). I'm keeping the 1 star rating because the service did not work for me, and I believe it's difficult to navigate and does not have the number of people that sites like Match.com and Yahoo personals have.

I'm adding this review to tell everyone that it is a real company and not a scam. I reported Perfectmatch.com to the Better Business Bureau and received a call from them. We talked about my experience and while we agreed to disagree, I appreciated them taking the time to call. They also agreed to refund a portion of the 3-month service fee I'd paid for since I'd stopped using the site after a month or so.

Perfectmatch.com does not deserve even 1 star. I've only received a few matches during the two months I've been on the site. Most of the profiles don't have pictures, and no one response to emails or ice breakers. And when I search for guys in my city I get profiles from other cities.

I'm glad some people got some of their money back because I was told that I couldn't get any of mine. I'm reporting Perfectmatch.com to the Better Business Bureau. I definitely believe it's a scam.

WOW! So it wasn't only me who thought this site was a total ripoff! I might as well have flushed my $60 down the toilet. Awful! It didn't take me long to realize just what a scam PerfectMatch was and should have demanded my money back but decided not to aggravate myself and just chalked it up for a lesson learned. I had same problem with Harmony so should have known better. One star rating is entirely too generous! Fake profiles, people who have been inactive forever..... please! Scam!

No stars but that wasn't given as a choice. This site is a total fraudulent rip-off. E-mails I received from interested members all turned out to be fake profiles. I wonder how many participants were real. When I contacted member services after 3 weeks to cancel and get my $$ back they told me as a special courtesy they would give 50% back of my 4 month membership but then only gave me 30% back. These types of businesses need to be better regulated or be made illegal.

What a lousy dating site!

If I didn't know any better I would have thought I was on a combo 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 site of Yahoo + Eharmony + Match - as related to the Bait & Switch tactics that they use there when signing you up for their supposed FREE trial.

This Perfect Match site here says you can sign up for a FREE trial whatever, and do a FREE search, etc etc etc - well - that's a JOKE right there!

They won't even let you do a so-called FREE trial basic search until you fill out something like 10-12 pages of stupid ??'s to no end.

??'s that are so outdated and so poorly written that it reminds me of that stupid Eharmony site all over again with their stupid "pig in a poke" ??'s to no end. Again - the same type ridiculous ??'s that they alone supposedly only use to match you up with whoever there. More stupid ??'s then a Police interrogation for slipping on a banana peel - what a JOKE! If you are even allowed to post anything about yourself there - in your own words as it were - they probably limit you to 25 words or less, which is pathetic at best!

Those ??'s that both sites above ask you are SO LAME that it isn't even funny!

Get this - Right after you finally fill out page 1001 and think you are finally going to get to do a free basic search - GUESS WHAT?

They try and hit you right up for a $60 PAID sign up! You have to literally dump that page, as your only icon option is to PURCHASE NOW. Some FREE sign up huh? What a JOKE!

So after finally dumping that page and getting over to the SEARCH page I try and do a basic search to see what kind of phony baloney babes there are on this supposed Godsend of a dating site, and GUESS WHAT?

I can't really do anything worth a damn in so far as a search anything. Maybe open up a few SLOW AS HELL profile pages, but that is about all. AND - all the ones I did luck out and manage to open up (4 I think it was) all I was able to do is just look at the page and do NOTHING ELSE! I couldn't even enlarge that 1 dinky little pix that they shrink sown to nothing! Pretty pathetic to say the least.

It seems like right after I finished answering all those stupid ??'s that the site went into LA LA land - sleep mode that is. I didn't even get a confirmation email sent to me like with most other sites right after a sign up - dating sites or otherwise that is. Figure that one out? If you then clicked on anything at that point the page switches to guess what again? Your right - the PAID UPGRADE page!

What a JOKE!!

Just as much a joke as that annoying SECURE SITE cookie tracking pop-up that drives you nuts as well. SECURE SITE my azz! What a joke!

In comparing their "PREMIUM MEMBER" verses just the FREE bargain basement level "MEMBER" the only real thing you can do for FREE is the:

Duet Compatibility Profile > BIG DEAL - another Eharmony
Receive Perfect Matches > BIG DEAL - another Eharmony
Post a Comprehensive Profile > Oh sure > BIG DEAL
Read Columns and Advice > BIG DEAL - another Eharmony
Receive our Monthly Newsletter > WOW > BIG DEAL
Love Quizzes > BIG DEAL

Oh ya - and let's not forget those FREE Yahoo style ICEBREAKERS > BIG DEAL

In other words - you get NOTHING!

WOW - I can get a FREE hand-job at home by yours truly, and in doing so I'd get more gratification from that than this site would ever give me!

I think that says it all right there!

Last thing I did today - after that ridiculously long sign-up there - was to dump my acct - yeee haaaa - good riddance!

Well, I guess all of the complaints perfectmatch.com has received has really helped, as I was able to get my refund IN FULL. I was signed up with their services for 1-2 days and I sent an email, got a prompt response, less than 12 hours, and they refunded my account between 3-5 business days. I do have to admit, while I was signed up, I heard from NO ONE, the distance parameters that generated were way off base to my location and I requested matches for within my state, but received many out of state. Maybe I jumped ship too quickly, but I had no luck.

I agree with the other reveiws...PerfectMatch.com does not deserve even one star!

I will go further and say, this site is a money-making scam! After only 2 days on the site, I only had 1-2 members that matched my age, Duet Analysis (their special matching test), were fairly attractive, etc. All the others were either very unattractive, very overweight or out of shape, or lived 50-75 miles away (about a 3 hour commute in LA!)

When I complained to David in customer service, I got the royal runaround and excuses. He said there were plenty of members (all across the nation!) but would not give out any indication of how many men were in my age group within 25 miles of West Los Angeles, one of the largest cities in the nation with some of the most attractive and fit people anywhere. If I can only find 1-2 men within 25 miles of West LA that I would deem fit to email, something is terribly wrong with this service!

I have asked for my $ back and so far David has offered only 1/2 my money back. I have demanded a full refund since I was only on the site 2 days and they are clearly fraudulent in how they advertise and endorse their services and high level of quality members.

Do not use PerfectMatch...ever! They are fraudsters who are out to take your money!!
