It isn't too bad this site, but I find that it sure is very less impressive than some I have been in before like eharmony.com or friendfinder.com or match.com. At first I sure Liked the concept, but now nearly a year later I am ready to can this site. It isn't the quantity, but rather the quality. There are a lot of people from my area, but it is hard to see if I really match up with them. I e-mail and get back limited responses too. I feel as though this site could be a lot better. Have a good rating system in place and compatability chart. Also distinguish between those wanting to be friends and those looking for more like marriage and sex. I find this site does have its rewards, but it take a lot of time and if you get tired easily then you will give up much too quickly to find anyone. Since posting is free there are many many people who post, but only about 5 percent actually become members. So that is why they must then add there email on the profile in order to have a way to get contacted and in order to get a response. I have responded to several people who have stated they can't read it. So I would say the site is so-so. I have had good and bad experiences. As of now I don't know what to do. Then I found eharmony and well it sure looks better. For one things a lot of the pictures on Imatchup are fake that people put up. The ones that are at the top of the lists are all fake and are all models or some easy to find picture from a website of a woman, but the real person on the site. Those that are real people are the picture that recieve no votes. I find my pictures get very low scores. At first I blamed my apperance, but I alsosee that those voting are voting for those picture where the people look GQ or are butt naked. This isn't good. That and I always get hits to my profile from people very faraway or people who don't think I am there type. So in the end I met friends, If you can call e-mailing them back and forth friendly. No true love though.

Of all the dating sites I have visited over the past 6 years on the Net, this one seems the most interesting, thus the popularity. It is a well written site in that it apparently produces money and profit for the owners. Their automated system even sends you hate mail if you even attempt to sneak your email address into a response email. Unfortunately they don't monitor their site too well because email addresses appear regularly on the profiles. I doubt very much they check to see if people are following the rules because you can put your email address in the title line or in your initial profile creatively and bypass having to send flirts and email responses. It is also a haven for scammers, most offering paysites of webcams of women or men. They have a rating system for voting 1 to 10 cold to hot and then offer the top 100 hottest men and women for scrutiny. Unfortunately it is very easy to circumvent that system and get yourself into the top 100 hot men or women by creating hundreds of dummy accounts and voting for yourself and against others. So when viewing the top 100 hot men or women, remember you are looking at people who mostly voted for themselves or someone saw a picture they liked and voted for them with 100s of votes perday. I am sure people have met on that site and even gotten married but other sites out there offer much much more. Since this kind of site is a for profit site, I give them 5 stars for being profitable although I don't know that for sure but as a user friendly site you have to pay a lot of money to play in their yard and then you will get hit by scams including webcam offers and other types of spam. Do you really want to pay 25 bucks for something you get in your regular email every day for free? This site is too easy to figure out and has many flaws in it. I hope for the sake of those who own this site, that they improve it soon or you and me will never visit it again. And for goodness sakes, get rid of the warning mails when the automated scanner thinks it sees you putting an email address into that site. Isn't it a good business practice to encourage participation instead of discouraging it? There are a lot of pretty pictures on the site, go and look, but are those pictures really of the people advertising? You judge.

This site is pretty limited compared to fancier sites like Match.com or Yahoo Personals. There aren't as many checkboxes to check about yourself, and with respect to height you can only choose broad categories like 5'10" to 6'2". That doesn't really say much. Pity the poor man who has to choose the 5'5" to 5'9" category.

It also looks kind of cheesy. They don't even know how to spell their company name. Alternatively it's Imatchup.com, IMatchup.com and iMatchup.com. Obvously no one has edited the web pages.

Furthermore, it seemed like the women on the site were of less desirable qualities than those on other dating sites. Of course this is subjective, and other people are looking for something different than what I'm looking for, but that's how it seemed to me.

But the ultimate thing wrong with this site is that it's a big scam. They advertise that the site is free. What's the catch? It's free to CONTACT people but the people you contact can't read your email unless THEY pay. This pretty much makes the site useless for both sexes. Why would a woman pay to respond to contacts on this site from cheap men when they can respond for free on all the other sites? It doesn't look like either sex will ever meet anyone here.

According to the people who provide internet traffic statistics, this site is pretty popular. I guess that's because people have bought into the "free" scam. Attention world: this site is not free. Stay away. If your'e going to pay money, pay for a quality site. This is NOT a quality site.
