I think Hurrydate on the whole deserves a positive review. Good looking guys. Good looking girls.

I've read some of the negative reviews and I'm not sure they're warranted. Hurrydate delivers on exactly what it says. People are going to get out what they put in.

The Atlanta function I attended was mixed with both good and average looking people. Some of them were really nice and others were flighty or creepy, but you're going to get that anywhere.

It's truly a great mix. You get some great looking guys and girls but you get average ones too. You get attitude and pretentiousness while there are some truly kind and nice people there as well.

After the dating is over, they don't exactly throw you out of the place either. You're free to go back and talk to anyone you found interesting. Most people leave soon after it's over, but that's their loss.

Whether or not you find your perfect match here is up for debate, but you are going to meet some interesting people nonetheless.

I'd go back

I've signed up for three Hurrydate parties. The last two events have been cancelled. One event was cancelled but no prior notification was given, basically wasting my time going to the site to find out that it was cancelled. The first event was ok: many people, great fun, a couple of matches.

For one of the latter events Hurrydate also overcharged my credit card and claim to have no clue where the money went. Customer service takes weeks to reply. Overall I consider Hurrydate a very poor choice for speeddating.

Once they delayed the event to another day. second time they just cancelled it. First time they called me. Second time they did not even call me for event cancellation. it was a couple month ago and I have not paid back yet.

We'll, I have been to two Hurrydates in Tampa,FL and 99% of the women I met there have serious issues. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying I am perfect(not by a long shot), but here is how they went. The first Hurrydate had about 15 women and 15 guys. Fist of all, I DO REQUIRE a woman to be somewhat attractive for me to be interested in her, I believe women call this word, chemistry.

So out of 15, I don't want to sound ignorant but 7 of them were so awful looking, it was beyong belief. So thats 7 gone, 8 left. Now the hurrydate I went to was for 25-35 year olds and I really have to question 2-3 women who were not in there 40's. 6 left(we'll say 2 were too old). Now, out of the 6, I am unsure how it works in other cities but there is plenty of time to talk here(supposed to be three minutes, always ends up being 5); 4 of the women asked what I did for a living( of which I am not ashamed, I make good money, but I don't brag), and when they found out I make under 300,000 a year,they were no longer interested in talking, which is sad, THEY actually asked the exact amount of what I made.

Now were down to 2. Out of the two, both of which seemed ok. I picked both,mutual matched on 1. Never got off the ground. We emailed a few times, but she was not a woman who I would like to spend time with. Why? Everything would have to revolve around her schedule and what she wanted to do. Why would I put up with that? And I don't even know her really well, what would she be like if I took her out on a date or started dating her. Too much of an embarrassment.

2nd Hurrydate; See above. So if you are looking for someone "normal", or a nice woman(at least from the 2 I went to), I would not count Hurrydate as trying to meet them. Sorry I wrote a novel, enjoy.

Total RIP OFF.... Hurrydates are cancelled 50% of the time, obviously you don't get a refund, they assume they own your schedule, so they reschedule it... it takes MONTHS to get a refund, but don't worry, just call your credit card company and problem solved.

BTW, their website has NO TRIAL Periods and obviously NO REFUNDS. Their nasty website with very few features has ZERO value!!!... My experience with Hurrydate has been disappointing and I will not recommend it to anyone who wants to really get to know a real woman. I know a friend of mine who went out on one and sadly, the girl he actually was a match with, realized she loved her ex-boyfiend ..... at least the hurrydate worked for her.

Again, where do you feel the worst? Right after wasting $20 for 1 hr of interviews and talkin to 10 girls from which 5 might have been hired by the organizers so they don't cancel the event, or just go out to a bar and invite 4 girls to 5 not-so-expensive drinks???

I went to one of these about a year ago, it wasnt setup by Hurrydate however I forget who organized it.

Basically its a complete waste of time if you are looking for a relationship type girl. Its essentially like going to a bar.

I didnt want to go alone so I got a friend from work to come with me, told him I would cover his 20$ if he didnt have a good time. He is a real player type, 6'4, blond hair, usually dates several girls at once, countless bar/club hookups. He just barely made the min age requirement.

Im not a bad looking guy, Im in good shape, full head of hair, tall, girls describe me as "cute". I dont have the type of look that wins girls over at clubs and stuff though. I get a lot of girls that want to be friends (sigh), because Im so "easy to talk to".

So anyhow the event started off badly. There were more guys signed up than girls so the organizer pulled women off the street and let them in for free. I dont suppose they took it very seriously.

Most of the girls were nice looking - no real knockouts. There were several girls that I had a real nice conversation with, I selected 4 of them to communicate with.

One girl decided she didnt want to talk to me because she was having such a great time with this other dude she wanted double time with him so I had to stand there like an idiot for a full session once. That sucked.

My bud ended up getting a bj from a girl during the "social" that went on after the event. It was weird because she struck me as kinda weird/shy and conservative - guess you never can tell. Anyhow he told me he didnt really hit it off with anyone, he chose one girl to communicate with because she was the best looker there. 15 of the 20 girls selected him, including the one he checked. I only got 2 selections - and one of them only checked me because she got confused between me and him because we were hanging out together during the social. The other girl that selected me was very overweight, at least 200lbs.

Anyhow the girl that he had a mutual match with pursued him for about a month on emails even though he showed her little/no interest.

Basically it shows that the girls going there are just looking for a hot dude to hook up with, like most single women these days in large cities. Might as well save your 20$ and goto a bar - if you dont have luck there you wont have it speed-dating.

Not much better than meeting strangers (potential con artists or "gold diggers") in a bar with much less time to talk and a "lighter wallet". Most of the women were drunk by the time I got to talk with them.

No one seemed to be prepared (including the event host) or ask the important questions. Some broke the rules.

Many times, only one person would get their questions answered while the other would learn absolutely nothing about you. A few minutes just isn't enough time.

Only later did I realize I had to spend time creating a ridiculous "profile" and answer all those stupid questions with "That's for me to know and you to find out". Not worth the time and trouble.

I signed up for an event held in a local casino. After more than 30 min after the event was to be held the hostess told us that since there were 25 men,and only 5 women showed up that the event was being cancelled. We could get a refund,or sign up for the next event. I chose to sign up for the next event which was also cancelled. So I then asked for a refund which took more than 4 months to get,alot of disappointment. I would NOT recommend this outfit to anybody.

Hurry date was an adventure. The women there were very beautiful, but the men were so-so. I got 5 matches, two contacted me and one of them stood me up on our date. If they had ethnically or religious based events, I would definitely go.
