Visit Yahoo! Personals

Hi,

I have tried most of the dating services out there. I think its a good way to meet a woman out of your social circle you wouldnt normally meet. I base a success on if I met a girl or not, not the quality or length of a relationship. That being said: 1. Yahoo personals is full of fake profiles. I demanded my money back. 2. I filled out eharmony for at least an hour, they wouldnt let me browse pictures, and sent me matches of three fat, non attractive women. (got my money back) 3. Singlesnet was all women from other countries trying to suck money out of you. I cancelled and got my money back. 4. Not many girls on Americansingles.com, but I did meet a girl off of there for dating and occasional fun. (of course, she was married to her cousin to get him his green card) But met, and was a success. Match.com is ok, I met a girl from their I have been dating for the last two years. Of course, she ended up being a dancer and a mess, etc. etc. Unfortunately, signs werent visible at first, or I ignored them. Bottom line, we met, so it was a success. Any of the adultfriendfinder sights are a joke. 5 million men, and 2 women. Im from Michigan, and I think the quality of women in Florida and their morals is horrible, of course that is of no fault of any dating website.

Yahoo Personals is a scam, they get 0 stars from me. Many of the women are professionals or diggers, half were "spawn of Sasquatch", and the rest were 12. I'll have none of the above.

I've been a member of several dating sites eharm* date cherryblossoms true and others. I'm a busy man and I don't want to waste my time on a worthless loser.

I'm 44 and the really young women still throw themselves at me(I politely deflect their attention). That is, on the rare occasion I have time to go out. I get a lot of attention on the dating sites and Internet dating could be the perfect solution. But there are way too many scags on the dating sites to make them legitimate. We could meet the same losers by spending every free minute in a pub. No thanks.

I'll bet that Internet dating has the exactly the same miserable success rate as pub crawling.

Advice: 1)If you go to a club, get hammered, and make a pass at someone; expect EVERYONE to consider you nothing but a worthless drunk. 2)Respect does not equal b**ch or Pr**k. Everyone breathes air, has stinky farts, and will only live so long. 3)Be honest with yourself, because you are the only one believing your lies. 4)Karma is real. What goes around comes around.

Twice I have been a paying member of singlesnet.com and Had a bad experience both times....The second one, they flooded me with letters from great looking ,very interested locals, then when you pay to read them ,none of my e-mails got a reply...One girl wrote back and said"I said no such thing and I am definitely NOT interested...Now you dont expect this to happen because she wrote to you....Wrong..THEY write to you, and send little flirts which when pursued, never get an answer!!Oh yeah!..They got me on the 3 day trial thing...I couldn't find the link to cancel ,so all these letters, like 20 per day come in from all these women from GHANA???And they are mostly 60 plus(I'm 40)..And one or two were over 90....So go figure....I bet they are the worst to go with...No stars...No customer service...You are lucky if you can cancel...

Linda from Arizona made a good suggestion...try Plenty of Fish.

May I make another...try Singlesnet?

It's way primitive, but it has a huge advantage over Yahoo and Match, and just any other pay site of which I'm aware: A non-paying member can initiate e-mail communication with any paying member and, logically, read e-mail from any paying member and respond with e-mail to any paying member's e-mail message.

Sure, the pool of paying members is rather small, but sign up, throw up a quick profile, and check it out. At least, unlike Match and Yahoo, you can conduct e-mail communication with a few people at absolutely no cost. And, if you like it, you can join and open two-way e-mail communication with anyone--not just paying members as in Match and Yahoo--whose profile is displayed on the site.

No, I'm not an employee of Singlesnet, just someone who's used the service and found it far better than the normal alternatives, Match and Yahoo.

You ever try canceling your membership....not easy to do and forget about trying to find a phone number for them. I finally had to wait until they billed me again automatically...of course. Had to get my statement for the phone number and THEN had to take the time to contact them....waiting on hold forever. What a bunch of crap. So....I thought I would just share their phone number for anyone else that is having the same darn problems I had! Here it is......866-458-8744 AND......try www.plentyoffish.com It's free!!!!! And it's a heck of a lot better!

I suppose that if I was going to write a fake review on this webite I would use a strange sounding name for myself. If I wanted to take an extra step to fool you, would the place I name as my home really exist? Who would I be? Whould I be this site's webmaster. Prehaps, if Yahoo is paying me twice as much for webtraffic from their site. Whoever it is, Could you get any more lame?

I've been dating online for 4 years. The sad part about this whole internet thing is that a guy who's somewhat happy and outgoing can land a date faster on the streets than it takes people to sign up to a website. If you're reading between the lines, you'll find that a guy loses his most valuable asset in finding dates, his personality. It's almost impossible to let who you are shine through the text of a profile. Most profiles say what the user thinks the reader wants to hear... People being fake! With this women take each profile and email with a grain of salt. When you add in all the other impasses guys have online, you come up with a no-Man should be here situation.

If you're a guy, do yourself a favor and just get off these sites.

I have found the love of my life. Did I think it was possible to do such a thing on a computer... NO WAY! I just thought I would come on and check out what is so taboo in society. I too was a sceptic. One of the many I'm sure. I was not looking to find something serious, let alone someone I would ever end up meeting someone in person.

I never in a million years really though I would find a genuine person on the Internet. Not only did I make a new friend, I ended up find my best friend, lover, confidant and the one I could now never see myself without...

The only problem is, I didn't meet my love at yahoo personals, although I've tried it for about 1 year. My lover is met at a millionaire singles dating site - millionairecupid.com. It's really professional and great.

When I first started a profile on Yahoo Personals I had so much fun and looked forward to chatting with as many women as i could and soon was. I would check every morning and raced home to check after work. It wasn't long before I met "THE ONE" you know the one you never thought you would ever find. The one that changes you because you want to change and be the very best you can be. I met Nicki and we fell in love. I love her like I never loved anyone in this world. We spend every moment that we can together. We plan on getting married and living together forever. Ours hearts have become one. If you are honest and true this could happen to you. Thank you Yahoo! Life is so good. Thank you God for giving me Nicki!

i first used yahoo personals 3 years ago. i did meet someone and we dated for 6 months, but it took 3 months to meet her and there wasn't a single other connection before that one... what i remember from that experience was that most of the ads were either fake, or it was a girl who just wanted to browse. if you don't pay you can't write emails. i wish the site would let you know before you put up your money how many of the ads are able to write emails.

i just went back on to try again. it is the slowest website i have been on in 10 years, literally. it looks great once it loads, but it takes foooooooooooooooorever... and still, it does not show which of the girls are current so that they can email you back... i can tell about half of them are fake just by doing a quick run through.

someone please suggest a good site? i am keen to get back out there!

Hi Everyone!

Some people have mentioned that something else is going on here, that Yahoo may be posting fake reviews. Well your all wrong, and I'll tell you why, if this gets through. Take for instance the previous review. It has been posted over and over here by what looks like the same person. Would someone do this, nope. Yahoo, nope, this site does not get enough traffic for Yahoo to be posting fake reviews. It's the owners of this site who are doing it. You see when you click the Yahoo link by the review it's an affiliate link. They get commission for sign ups so a positive fake review is always at the top. Mystery solved.
