Buyer Beware:

Hurry Date and other similar businesses use to rank higher in my book a few years ago but a change in their business plan has made them a complete waste of time for the single person looking to meet someone.

It is still generally true that you will get the opportunity to meet 14 to 18 single people of the promised age bracket but that is about it. In years past they (the organizers) use to collect the sheets on which you wrote down the candidates you were interested in. The organizers would then enter the information into a database and distribute the matches accordingly by e-mail. This use to work fairly well. This has all changed though with the expansion of their on-line sites. They now leave it up to the participants to go on-line after the events when they get home and submit their information for matches. This is where it all falls apart. It is yet another step you must rely upon someone else to complete. Those sheets will simply lie on coffee tables till the following week untill they are discarded and no information will ever be entered.

This is really a shame, these events use to be good but the owners have looked to cut costs. My advice, just pursue other avenues. I wish I could say better.

Good luck,

Ed

I signed up for an event that was cancelled. They did not inform me about the event being cancelled and I wasted a trip out to the event. After that I tried to resolve rescheduling or a refund through the phone(I was only able to leave messages because noone could be reached) and email. I recieved no response and had to obtain my refund through my credit card company which informed me that they ruled in my favor(without the usual need for paperwork) because this company was flagged. While I got my refund, I'm still at a loss because I wasted an afternoon and time trying to contact them afterwards.

I signed up for a HurryDate speed-dating event. I wasn't interested in the website, matching, etc. - just the speed-dating. I had been to another company's speed-dating event and had a lot of fun, so I do recommend speed-dating... just NOT through HurryDate. The HurryDate event was cancelled at the last minute, and they ignored requests for a refund. Instead they automatically signed me up for another event (in another city) which I could not attend. They took my money and I got nothing. Buyer beware!

OK, I don't need websites like this to get a date, but I thought I would leave a few thoughts for you guys that might be thinking of using them.

I have had male co-workers that tried online dating. They had fairly negative results. I tried it, and had some results, but it was inferior to meeting men the regular ways I had been using. I know a lot of men in my city from way back, so getting dates and leads for dates is no problem.

This is just another online dating site that scams men by having a "gal" send them a wink or email soon after they put up a trial profile. You have to pay to answer the email that was sent by one of the ad writers from the company that puts up fake profiles for the purpose of seducing men to join. It's a form of legal prostitution except the men never get anything but a bill for joining.

A male co-worker recently put up a trial profile on Match.com to show me how it worked. The second day he got a wink from a gorgeous gal of 33 that claimed to be looking for men 43-53. He was 51 and had not even posted a photo yet. The woman's profile was "hidden", which means he could not check it out beforehand. This is another trick that Match.com and others use where it cannot be proved that the men were being baited by a company plant. The profiles are usually written and posted by people hired by the company but working overseas or from home, etc. It CANNOT be proven that the company was behind the posting, but as men NEVER get emails unsolicited from model quality women that are 1/3 younger than the men and when the man hasn't even posted a photo or completely filled out the profile, you can be 99.99% sure the wink or email is fake or the woman is a wingnut or the photo and profile are fake and you are dealing with a fat loser female. The 48 hour timing means my co-worker was given a chance to browse and decide to join on his own, and when that did not happen, the fake winks and emails are sent. The website knows they have about 72 hours to get a man or woman to join, so the fake messages are a last ditch effort by the company to seduce people to join after they have been given a chance to browse. If my male friend had like what he had seen already, he might have joined. The company knows they have to seduce the man or woman with a person a lot better looking than what in normally online in order to get people to commit.

So many people have been burned by online dating that people now just browse and decide not to pursue the membership, so this baiting is at epidemic levels. The FBI should investigate all the online websites with special emphasis on member's mail that just joined or are about to expire.

I am going to post my own female profile without joining just to see what kind of winks and emails that women get. I'm sure it's mostly a scam.

Bottom line: decent American women do NOT need online dating services. Men should be very, VERY careful before handing any money over. Their results are generally very poor as paying women are usually cherry pickers that are looking for something better than what they have in their online profile. I do not need online dating to get a date, but I might use it to get somebody I would comsider way above my league otherwise. Men would do the same if they could.

Extremely slow site. Useless matching system. Weak search capabilities. Does not add any value to real-world speed-dating. Basically they take your money and invite you to a sausage-fest party. The quality of girls that you will meet is pretty low. Dare I say even lower than the typical girl you'll meet at a club. I would avoid this service because they don't really do anything.

I was in a hurry, so I joined HurryDate. I'm the kind of guy that doesn't even have time to shave my crotch hair, so I just spray lighter fluid on my crotch and burn off the underbrush. Unfortunately, the website doesn't work as fast as I am accustomed to working. There aren't many women that play with lighter fluid out there. You can spray some on a puddle of water and watch it change colors in the moonlight when you are out on a date. Women are too uppity these days to appreciate the artistic things in life. I need more artsy tartsy females. Where do you find gals like that these days? Definitely not on HurryDate. I once knew a gal that could ejaculate lighter fluid, and light it off when she did. You can't find fun women on HurryDate.

I second what Tony is saying. If you are in the Dallas area at least, all these online dating and speed dating services suck for men. There are always many more men than women. You have to go to places that women show up. Go to churches, gyms, museums, bars, anywhere but online to find women. Maybe some day the tide will turn, but until it does men will just have to develop social skills and go where the available and attractive women are at. I think that America in general sucks for men these days. Women are even worse out of shape than men. The few attractive women on these internet sites are always cherry picking, and you will have way more competition online than you ever will offline from other men for attractive women. I am now offline and I wouldn't have it any other way. The online dating sites at least keep some loser men off the streets and out of the running as far as I am concerned. Just look at American women compared to places like eastern Europe, and you see what decades of butt kissing by loser wimped out men has done while the feminazis were at work shoving their beliefs down the throats of the gullible. Thank goodness I went to eastern Europe, got a Russian woman, and dumped these dating sites in particular and feminist women in general.

Like hell I'm going to believe the previous review. It must be from somebody who works at the site because of the slick way it is written and a female name was chosen. Sounds like an ad to me. Anything to encourage women to join, who are way less likely to just jump in and sign on to a website the way desperado men are. If you are a male, it will suck for all the same reasons that he other websites suck for men. Don't ever pay any money to any website until you have been there at least 30 days on a free trial basis and you have had some results. New websites are popping up like fat ticks on a dog, and it's high time some of them started dropping out of the scene as far as I am concerned. Just remember, if you are male, they all suck. If you want to try anyway, get at least 30 days for free with some positive results before handing over a penny.
