big church is a fraudulant site, they tell people they are for real and forget to tell people they are owned by a porno magazine called penthouse and with a name like big church what does that tell you?also when you try to contact them u are denied big time!!! i had to contact one of their affliates to get through,so people should know that big church is a fraud and i as a christian am appalled by this!!! at lease they should be honest about who they are owned by and let the people make up their own mind that's all i'm saying! so i just wanted to express my opinion on this site! they take advantage of people trying to find someone to be in their lives for a lifetime.well that's my cut on this situation, sincerely, angie

-10 stars on this ridiculous website "Big Church". I was on it for less then a week before I demanded my money back. I wasn't aware that if you're only a standard member you can only view men that were last on 3 months ago. I had only received a total of 4 winks........I'm not an ugly girl. It took me by surprise to see that I wasn't getting any hits. I'm not being conceited but on other sites my mail box was full.

Let me add one more note.

Apparently a real person checks and approves the content of the profiles on Big Church.

After I wrote my review here, I put up a profile on BC only to warn other Christians, mentioning its ties to Adult Friend Finder. I just receieved an e-mail note telling me that my profile had been approved, so I went to Big Church to check it out. Turns out there was a profile there, but it was not at all what I'd written. I learned a couple interesting things about myself, if you know what I mean.

I guess when it comes to cons, you'll never beat the pros!

Big Church??

Did they really mean Big Joke???

This is a pathetic joke of a site. Too bad the rating system doesn't start in the negative numbers, say minus 100, because that's about what I would give Big Church.

First of all, what "Christian" site would allow same sex matching? I'm not being homophobic, I'm simply stating that the Bible, which I believe to be the word of God, does not condone homosexuality, so why in the world would a Christian site aid in same sex matching? Sounds to me like a bunch of non-Christians found a niche market to exploit for whatever they can get out of it.

But maybe that's one of the reasons that the site is as it is. Christians seem to be staying away, or moving away, in droves.

I did a quick search for women close to me. Get this:

The search turned up 50 profiles.

Of the 50, 45 were active either "within 3 months" or not active in excess of three months. I believe "within three months" actually means between two and three months, so 90%, yes, 90% of the potential matches/contacts I received have not visited the site for two months or longer. I don't know about you, but if I'm paying for a service, I'm going to be logging in every day, two days maximum. If most people are like me, those two-monthers are totally inactive and totally disinterested. And totally unreachable. And totally useless to a payng member, no matter how enticing their profiles.

Of the remaining 5, two are "standard members", which means that they cannot read an e-mail sent to them. Unless they are so desparate that they'd be willing to fork over $20 to upgrade just to read an incoming e-mail, they too are unreachable.

Boiled down, 3 profiles out of 50, 6%, are contactable and able to respond, if interested.

Making matters worse--is that possible??--until I fork over money, I, as a standard member, cannot even read the profiles of the three potentially contactable women. That's nuts! Why would the site not allow potential paying members to check out the few who are available? That would be what I see as the only enticement to get someone to join.

So let's summarize. Of the 50 profiles presented to me, 45 were useless because they are inactive. Of the five remaining, two are useless because, even though they are still, maybe, interested and logging in, they cannot read an e-mail message. Of the remaining three, which are viable contacts, I can gain not a glint of information about any of them until I pay $20 to join.

No thank you, Big Joke!

P.S. I owe an apology to e-Harmony. Before I discovered Big Church, I was convinced that e-Harmony was the biggest ripoff I would ever come across, should I live to be one hundred years old. Big Church showed me that I was mistaken.

The site now provides the option for men to meet men for relationships. It did not have that feature before.

Friend Finder idiots already know that they have been discovered. I was a member of this imbecile stinky nasty website as Gold Member paying for three months and did not last one month after viewing a site which uncovers the true nature of the site.

I also was e-mailed by an idiot who apparently lived near me and then, she said this stupid tale about being in Africa, being an orphan, and then saying she was crazy to meet me in person. Foolishly I believed her and then I began receiving poems, love letters and when I asked her when to meet she did not answer but kept saying "I love you, you are the most important thing in my world, etc." I am so amazingly ashamed and angry to have believed such a whore who probably was seated in her (or his, who knows?) chair with bunch of whores laughing and joking... this happened in the Big Sh*t Site.

I can't rate the website lower than one star, so I am guilty of overrating the site. To the women, I suggest you find a big gold crucifix and use it for a dildo to masturbate, since it will be a lot closer to a Christian date than anything you are likely to find on Big Church (what a dorky name for a dating website!). You Big Church guys need to stick the crucifix up a different orifice, but you are apt to have the better sexual experience out of it, judging by the profiles of men I see on Big Church.

Big Church is a money making scam, like every other internet dating website out there. It's amazing that sticking the "Christian" appellation on anything will make weaker minded Christians turn loose of their money so fast, but this is a chronic problem you have created by being fools with your money, like Proverbs says, and you just need to suffer until you finally wise up. You are being punished for your stupidity, in the hopes that you will straighten up and fly straight, so learn your lesson and start doing something right for a change and quit giving these conniving internet website thieves your money. It's really YOUR fault more than theirs, as they would be running a different scam if you weren't such a bunch of desperate loser dorks. A fool and his money are soon parted, just like it says in Proverbs. So suffer, FOOL!!!

I joined Big Church a few months ago and was very disappointed. The number of people that they match you with is almost non-existant. My advice to all you Christian guys is to either go to the nearest bar or put the money you would of wasted on this site in Sunday's offering plate.

I dont like being negative.. however believe that in this case, it is a good thing to help people avoid this website. I signed upto the website and became a Gold member. It was not until after this time that i came to the realisation that bigchuch is an online business run by non-christians (who own a large network of sites, including sex personals) with 1 aim to make money.

The main reason i am posting this review is due to the fact that one day (several months ago) i found a profile which i had a photo of a female i had seen before, on both that site and another i was a member of. it was in fact the same person with 3 different profiles, showing 3 different countries as their home, 3 different ages etc etc.. I sent a "fake profile report" to bigchurch advising them of this, and heard no reply from them, and saw the profiles still active. After this initial email to them, i found yet another profile from this member.. so spent 2 days going through EVERY profile they had. i was amazed to find that the above person (or at least pictures of them) was on their website at least 8 times, not only did this suprise me, but i found 3 other members who had multiple profiles on the website also.. I made yet another "fake profile" complaint to bigchurch, and again no reply and no action taken.. since this time.. new member profiles have been rising from these 3 users, the last complaint i made was a month ago gaving the names of 32 profiles on bigchurch alone from these 3 people.. again the same photos used in each, all diffent locations, ages (and other profile info).

it seems to me that 1 of 3 things are happening here.. 1. bigchurch is planting these profiles to show a larger database of active members 2. bigchurch allows agencies to sign up (this means for example that there nmight be a business in russia that will help these women find marriage in another country, and post their profiles on multiple sites for a charge) 3. bigchurch does not care about their members, only their members money.. if these profiles are fake and out of bigchurch's control, they are obviously not a business that cares enough to spot them, or to do anything about them even when every profile name was submitted to them, and blind freddy could of seen the mutiple profiles with nicknames given to them.. and DO NOT repsond to their members who take the time (even 2 days straight) to do all the work for them and go out of their way to make a complaint (to save other members from being sucked in by their profiles)

so yeah.. once my membership is over i am off that site, i have made a great friend off there, so it is not money lost, but i am not prepared to spend money on a business that does not care about its members, and that is not in fact a christian based company.

btw if you are a subscriber on their site, and recieve their "matches" email.. look at "this months hottest member" you will find 1 of the 32 profiles i have complained about showing as the hottest memeber haha.. what a joke.

Wow, just reading all these horrible reviews makes me want to take my profile down from the site! I'm currently on it right now as a standard member, have not paid. I just wanted to see if I was lucky enough to get some "bites" before I actually became a paying member, if it was worth it. Well, I've been on for about 2 weeks and I only got 4 winks, in which 3 of them are from men out of state (too far for me). I get a lot of "views" but it doesn't go any further than that, and most of the men from my state don't bother to post a photo, so I don't respond to those. Fair is fair-if your going to wink at someone and view their profile, you should put a photo up. Why? Because you can see mine, yet I can't see you? What's there to hide? Geesh... Most of the men on these Christian dating sites seem to think it a "sin" to place their photos, either that or they lack confidence. Then, a word of advice, if your that scared, then why have a profile on an online dating service? Hello!

Not happy with the features for the cost. Site is fairly easy to navigate, but once when I clicked a click and the error page that displayed displayed was from a porno matchmaking website. After tracerouting its ip address, I find that it is hosted on the same servers as adultfriendfinder.com and likely owned by the same company?
