Hot Finance Chick, you are the type of delusional crazed wannabe that gives online dating AND bars a bad name. The guys you want to meet can get real women that aren't hanging out in bars and online dating sites to get the kind of guys you want to meet. That's why you aren't meeting them and they don't have an interest in you. Birds of a feather flock together. Ever been to a turkey farm?
If you are hanging out in sites like this, I am definitely staying away. I think most of the people who read these reviews WILL stay away from online dating. Online dating is an uncontrolled substance that appeals to a low common denominator. While I tried it once, I'm not publicly admitting that I ever used it. I'm just glad to see that most people had an experience similar to what I had and have sworn off of it.

i tried the square very briefly, and found that overall, the people were definitely not the brightest - especially now that they've added a ton of ivy-wannabes.
i DID meet a few very nice/smart guys that i would introduce to my sister - but my sister is a bit less ambitious than me.
i tried the square b/c i was tired of hanging out w/the hot smart guys my age (23), but i still wasn't able to meet the same type but a little older (i.e. 26-32). grr. i guess it's stick to the bar scene for me - and keep meeting less mature boys my age.......

Well from a guy's point of view, the women there are ugly. And I've noticed there are crazy male stalkers there too.
And they try to say it's selective but they include lots of crap colleges. So it's neither selective intellectually nor aesthetically.

DateSmartPeople.com is a new dating site. Unlike other "Ivy League" sites, it doesn't exclude anyone. It has SmartSearch, which lets users decide if they want to limit their search to people from the top schools. People from the top schools also have "SmartSearch Status", letting others know they went to a top school even in a general search. It's really new, so there's not many people on it yet, but it is totally free, which is always good. It doesn't have all the services other sites have, but it does have the basics you need. It has a lot of potential. And I like the idea of keeping things inclusive.

For me, this site had everything but members. I found joining, posting, and searching easy, but the member base is extremely small, with next to nothing in central Virginia, where I live. Not worth the trouble or money unless you live near a major metropolitan area, in which case it will give you a better chance than most at meeting women who care more about what's under their scalps than what's on top of them.

i was laughing at some of the angrier postings.. Thesquare ( used to be called Oursquare) is no different from yahoo, match, or other sites - same percentage of losers vs. normal pleasant men ( can't say about the ladies!) i do think there is some extra security there - people are credentials-checked, they register with their real names, etc - but there is an inherent snobbery that i dislike. also, as somebody previously noted, the volume is low compared to more traditional sites. still, i like the filtering - on Thesquare, i don't have to reply politely to some nascar fan who sends me an "I like an inteligen women" message.

Obviously there are some very bitter people who have posted their ratings already. Maybe they are jealous because they did not graduate from one of the schools required to be on Square Dating. I joined because I was tired of meeting men who had more to think about in life than the Red Sox. The guys I've met on Square Dating were cute, intelligent, cultured, and nice.

I can pick up decent men a lot faster than messing with the goofballs on websites like this. This should be called Ivy Loser Dating.
No thanks, I think I will keep meeting men in person where I can tell right away if I want to pursue the situation further. NO decent American woman with reasonable sanity has trouble picking up men.
This place is full of losers like all internet dating sites.

That Robert Reed phony is obviously working for the company. Nobody writes like that about an agency, and it practically reads like add copy.
This site sucks and ivy league bitches can kiss my ass. It's just a slightly different twist on the internet dating scam ripoff market. Wrap those ivy league vines around your neck and go hang yourself. It's a quicker death than expecting you'll meet somebody interesting on a loser internet site.
Fuck off and die..........
