Interesting because I met my husband on Kiss.com before UDate snatched it up. I never liked UDate - the format is ridiculous. It would be nice it it were more user-friendly. The method of choosing criteria is too restrictive. If I'm doing a search I want to see every possible person.

Another pet peeve is that UDate does not require all fields to be completed. The most annoying thing is to see a profile that is completely blank.

Guys, dont touch Udate with a barge pole.

It only gets a star rating as there is no option to give no stars.

The indicators on it are useless so you dont know if a person is actually there most of the time.

The site is populated by - - arrogant, ignorant and/or rude women who would rather block you than take 10 seconds to say, sorry not interested. - bored housewives who will lead you on - teasers who have no intensions of meeting anyone

If you complain to Udate you get a standard reply as they basically dont give a damn about their customers.

The principle behind Udate is great. The practice is a nightmare.

udate has to be the worst dating site i have ever used. its full of weird men who have major issues. most of them approach you with a "hello sexy" and then continue to pester you about sex until you tell them straight to get lost. they then block you! udate itself still send you a warning about being offensive to other members. when i did complain udate sent me a computer generated message telling me people had the right to block. a lot of the men on there post old pictures, ive turned up for dates only to find some who looked more 56 instead of 36!! dont waste your money. spend it in the real world

The website is prone to too many problems,it's offline more than it's online. Waste of good money! Udate sucks bigtime!!!It works when you are lucky to get a connection,and when you do,it's off and on all the time.Not worth the angst!I will make sure they do not bill me automatically when my 6 months expire,thanks to this web page.

uDate is simply a haven for married men. I met one and he had some sob story about his wife. I did not fall for it. I also met another who was married to sports...and wasn't really available either. Both were pretty nice. I was ready for relationship, and I thought they both liked me. But they had issues.

STAY AWAY from uDate unless you just want to have clandestine relationships with men who are not really available.

I give Udate aka Zoo Date 3 stars because it used to be the best Internet Dating service on the net...as well as its Sister service, Kiss.Com. Used to be...past tense..since they changed to the new format...it is no longer number one. It is now difficult to browse other members..and they have gotten picker about the photos they will post. Women especially..the men seem to be able to post photos in skimpy briefs that barely hide their private parts, while women are only shown from the neck up. lol To me it still rates better than Match, eHarmony and the others because you can browse and chat with members from all over the world. The other dating services pretty much limit you to your little corner of the world. My main complaint about Udate/ex-Kiss is that they dont offer enough protection for the women. We are constantly harrassed by misguided male members, and most of the time our block buttons wouldnt work and we couldnt get rid of them. Women are allowed two blocks per day so if three perverts harrass you..too bad. lol I have personally reported and sent CS copies of rude/vulgar emails I have received and they did nothing. I just read of good example of one of those misguided males on here.I think his email speaks for his personality..and we can all understand why he didnt get along well with the women online. His money could be better spent seeing a good therapist. lol There are lots of men like him on the net. Ladies..I urge you to use a nickname and never give anyone your home telephone number or last name until you get to know them. My friend (female) and I have used U-Date and before that Kiss.com off and on for a few years now. Both of us thinking we may just meet Mr Right - not so. Most of the men are like children in a candy shop - the selection is too great and it all becomes a game to the men. Married men, stating they're married or not but their wife doesn't understand them - they are looking for a casual sexual encounter for themselves or with their wife. Old pictures, he says 52 - more like 62. Then there are many that get a thrill out of sending a sexual whisper - block to many and U-date makes sure your block button no longer works and you are stuck with these nasty mails. Complain to U-Date - you will get a reply but a computer generated generic reply. When you pay you agree to allow them to continue charging to your credit card - oh yes you do - most don't read the fine print at all. You must immediately remove all credit card info in order for this to not happen - look in the help section. Pictures - men near naked in showers, on the beach, lying on a bed that's ok but if a womans pic is even a little saucy they delete it or even delete her profile. I don't know if Internet dating really works, but my experiences on U-date coupled with their horrible new format has put allot of us right off Internet Dating. U-Date has become a place where lonely people go to fill in the hours.

Since it is affiliated with the old Kiss.com website, I will give it the lowest score, which is still too high. I don't believe that I ever got a reply on the old Kiss.com website. It was even worse than Friend Finder, which is hard to imagine. I see it gets few reviews, so it must not be popular. Match, eHarmony, and Yahoo! are about the only game in town these days. Lavalife has VERY few members outside of Canada, it seems. Match makes you buy a different membership for each international site now, it seems. Match has finally started to take off in the foreign markets, something that the others never could seem to do. Match is far and away the current king as far as members go, though the quality is still quite low a lot of the time. I didn't like the uDate website, and never went beyond a trial membership. You needed a membership just to view profiles. Just another Friend Finder style of ripoff website.

It would be better if you thought of it as uTurn instead of uDate, and backtracked your way out of there. I understand that they merged with Kiss.com which was a real nowhere website anyway. These things are just finding any way they can to keep going along and ripping off gullible loser sthat will fork over money instead of taking several weeks on a trial basis to figure out if they can deliver the goods.
