I wasn't sure what to expect from Match but I thought if all I find is friendships that it would still be a win situation for me. I am 42, I have always been told I am a cutie. I am not "slender and tone" but I am not packing 30 extra pounds. The men on Match are ridiculous. The first guy who contacted me was obviously a scammer. He claimed to be a US soldier serving overseas. UUU, his bad grammar was a give-a-way. I had four Match stalkers that would constanly email or view my profile. I blocked them all. I met a 38 yr old guy who absolutely didn't look anything like the 2 profile pics he posted. I then met a Dad, who was my age and I really enjoyed our email conversations. He sounded like a real family guy. When we met I though he was nice looking, average guy not a hottie, but perfect for me. He told me I was cutier than my pics and asked if I wanted to sleep with him! Okay, am I in the twilight zone! During my time on Match, I emailed a few gentlemen with no responses. (Ranting) Gosh, am I that hideous?...Sir, you are not all that..yes, you with the not so perfect body and looks looking for slender women 10-15 years younger. Good luck with that. I have lots of younger female friends who wouldn't give you the time of day. One day, you will be old and alone(End of Rant) All of the above occurred in the span of a month. You guessed it, I had enough and cancelled my membership. Did I lose money? Yeah. Match can keep it. I do better on my own.
