It seems that Yahoo Personals has been taken over by match.com. Shame, because I met someone nice on Yahoo Personals around 3 years ago, and was going to join again since I had no luck on other sites. I even met someone nice on that site even though I only joined quite briefly. Although we both joined because we were new to the area, when we met it turned out that we both lived close by in the middle of town and he could see me walking across the parking lot to my favourite cafe and had always wanted to meet me because he loved the way I used to take short cuts over the islands dividing the rows of cars and was dying to join me, especially after learning on-line that we worked in similar professions, in the sciences, at the time. I must say it was very interesting listening to his adventures in the North Pole region during his time in the army as well as his favourite parts of the USA, and he certainly had an air about him. In fact when he signed his signature on the receipt it was like getting an autograph from the king himself! But then he moved to another part of the state making it too difficult to meet. But we sure had fun climbing over the loose stones in the parking lot.
