Match.com is a ripoff, it's worth about $15/year and they want about 3 times that for a month if you only subscribe for a month. Even if you get into a longer term contract it's still at least $20 per month. The marketing people at Match.com must be drunk. I created a profile with Match.com, but you can't do anything other than browse people's profiles and wink. What's more, some metally challenged person decided it would be a good idea to make you subscribe to the service just to see who emailed you. Someone emailed me for instance and I may have actually paid to email the person back if the cost was reasonable and it was someone I was interested in, but Match.com wouldn't even let me see who it was. With all the losers on there the odds of the email being from someone I'd like to meet....well, they're certainly not great. It's just very overpriced. Plentyoffish.com is free and while the layout is pretty bad, I guess it beats having your wallet raped by Match.com.
