Bottom line is that most of the women I have encountered are completely undesireable. It is what it is. The only reason I joined was because I am new to the area and was looking for a different way to meet people. If the women on-line aren't new to an area, yet are on-line, have cute pictures AND seem desireable, they are either fake profiles, or there is a very good reason why they are single (bi-polar disorder, delusions of grandeur/ completely unreasonable expectations, a loathing towards the opposite sex because of bitter past experiences). I won't type cast every woman to be like this, because there may be ONE good one out there who has slipped through the cracks, but the odds of finding one on an on-line dating site are very low to completely non-existent, and not worth the time.
