A Review of eHarmonyWrite your own review of eHarmony! Reviewed By: Matt Location: NorCal Sex: Male Rating: ***** Date: May 31, 2010 I signed up on EHarmony attracted by two things: 1) Their personality based matching and 2) the fact that non-paying users can't see profiles. I work with a lot of women / gossips who prowl the dating sites from work literally daily looking for people they know. I hope none of them subscribe to eHarmony! Anyway, what I've found is that eHarmony is lacking in several areas. Number one is the lack of a "body type" category. I'm a young-ish (33) guy who is fit and athletic. If a woman is 100 pounds overweight, we aren't compatible. I don't care what her views on family relations or religion are. EHarmony is an absolute clearing house for morbidly obese women. I diligently open my daily matches, and end up shuddering or laughing at most. So I let matches build up for a few weeks, and then opened every single one to find a woman I would consider even remotely attractive. I did find a few. In fact, out of the 110 matches I accumulated, I found five. That's 4.5% for you math lovers. Which means that if you're like me, you'll find 95.5% of your matches a waste of time and money. Now if even one of my 4.5% ends up being the girl of my dreams (I'm still waiting on responses, I tried a mixture of the guided communications and a couple of emails.) then I will come back and edit this review. But for now, I would describe eHarmony as a colossal waste of time and money. Though if you must try it, google "eHarmony coupons" and you can get it for $10 a month. I wouldn't consider it for anything more than that. |
