Actually, 1 star is FAR greater than eharmony deserves!!! I subscribed for a few months and continued getting profiles that were not even remotely a match!!! Some profiles had subscriptions that were expired (of course, if they were a good match logic dictates that eharmony could have sent their profile long before their subscription expired!!!). Complaints did nothing and they never corrected a single thing. Their solution was that I should change my criterion (I could not understand why I should "settle" for something less than a close match since their entire focus is on matching people whose values, interests, and compatibility are CLOSE).
I don't drink and someone who drinks frequently is not a close match. I don't smoke and don't want someone who does. I maintain a regular exercise program including running at least 3 miles daily and I regularly enter various charity races such as 5K, 10K, and 1/2 marathons, so someone who is obese and does not exercise at all would not be any kind of a match. I am Christian and my beliefs would not match with an agnostic, athiest, budhist, or moslem.
Hard to believe not one person anywhere is even remotely close to what I am searching for...of course it seems that eharmony is only searching for money not real efforts in matching couples. Their own numbers don't speak much confidence, either...if correct and 15,000 new members join daily & if their claim of matching 200 daily is correct isn't that under 1%??? Those are terrible odds...better chances of just meeting someone compatible randomly on the street, would be my guess!!!
Texas is a big state, but eharmony hardly ever sent a profile from anywhere but other states. I THINK THEIR ENTIRE OPERATION IS A JOKE DESIGNED NOT TO MATCH PROFILES, BUT TO ACTUALLY PROLONG SUBSCRIPTIONS AND CONTINUE TAKING PEOPLE'S MONEY!!!
