Way overpriced.

I have tried their 7-day free trial period because I was notified that I had several messages from other people on match.com. Two of these people had no profile whatsoever, so I am not even sure they really exist. They didn't have that much to say. One guy said he was living in Africa! Another person who emailed me was a pretty 30+ year-old woman was from Tennessee (I am a gay man!).

Even with their discounts for a six-month subscription (up to 30%), it's hard to justify laying out $75 just to find out if the four new emails are bogus or not. I'm not even saying that it is scam from match.com to entice a non-subscriber to subscribe by sending fake emails to the non-subscriber.

There are even free dating Internet sites that allow you to contact others and read their emails to you--their profiles are as detailed as those of match.com, so I don't understand the popularity of match.com.
