I have tried eHarmony off and on for several years. They do route you a lot of "matches." However, the one thing they don't control is the ethnicity factor. They were always sending me matches who quite honestly did not want to be matched with any non-Caucasian person. Also, I found the "canned" question format and limited character response troublesome and limiting. Consequently, many potential matches slipped away due to me not being able to fully explain certain answers properly (limited amount of space to respond). The most troubling part of this company is their unscrupulous business practices. Let me explain.

My eHarmony account settings (which I had set in mid December, 2009) were set to terminate my subscription when it expired in January, 2010. eHarmony revamped/redesigned their web site during late-December/early January, giving it a new look. What I think happened is that they set all accounts back to "auto-renew" default settings without notifying customers. I only found out by that eHarmony auto-renewed my account for another month because PayPal notified me via email that my PayPaul account had been charged by eHarmony. On my PayPal account, eHarmony reported to them that I had subscribed via a "button click" (which, of course, I never did because I had set my eharmony account settings to terminate when my subscription expired).

The most disturbing part of eHarmony's business practices was that after I sent them an email alerting them to what had happened to my account, THEY NEVER EVEN RESPONDED! And, I am an old, multi-year customer! BUYER/SUBSCRIBER BEWARE! They will suck you of any dollars they can... Never again will I do business with this greedy corporation!!!
