WOW!! I am amazed that TRUE.COM remains in business. This site is ran by greedy people. It's all about the almighty dollar for them. The sad part is this company trains their employees to scam
the public. TRUE.COM falsey advertises that background checks are done on every member. What a crock. I have seen children on cam and when reported to True Customer Care the agent asked me if the kids were doing anything wrong. I was LIVID!!!!!!!!!!! I called and reported this employee to a supervisor, whether this employee was disciplined or not is beyond me. However, a few weeks later I had another "run in" with this supervisor because he made a false statement in a public chatroom about a member that has caused more problems than Carter has peanuts.
When I let the supervisor know that I felt what he had done was wrong he threatened to ban me for harrassing him. This supervisor singled out this member as a personal favor to him. Now my issue is what else is this supervisor going to do for members Give out private information to others who ask for personal favors? I reported this supervisor and emailed a copy of the background on this certain member, so much for not allowing convicted felons on this site.
The supervisor I spoke with on December 28,2009 felt the other supervisor had done nothing wrong. I happen to disagree. It proved to me that TRUE.COM only has the interest of its BANK ACCOUNT at heart. I did have issues with billing in the beginning and I know alot of other people who have been automatically charged after canceling their account, this goes back to TRUE.COM's conflicting language when it comes to billing.
FYI...TRUE.COM continues to operate in contempt of court. By court order TRUE.COM was suppose to change their automated billing procedures "According to the settlement, True.com must revise its auto-subscription system to avoid future members from being accidentally charged. " TRUE.COM has yet to do so.
I'm not saying that every thing about TRUE.COM is bad. I have met some very nice people and some not so nice. The sad part of this is when the Attorney General's office in Texas shuts them down, some innocent people will lose their jobs. When this supervisor told me she felt the other supervisor was not wrong I cancelled my membership.
