A Review of eHarmonyWrite your own review of eHarmony! Reviewed By: Laurie Location: Dallas, Texas Sex: Female Rating: ***** Date: September 29, 2009 I have to give eHarmony mixed reviews in all fairness. I am a former beauty pageant winner and chose not to post a pic-got lots of rejects but the ones who got thru were good ones--some even became terrific friends. Then I met THE ONE. He is a rock star with an oil and gas business and had so much in common with me that we were afraid we were related. We spent 8 months on the phone for 15 hours a day getting to know each other completely. I was head over heels in love. He came to get me and we got married within a few months. I wrote eHarmony tearful thank-you notes. Then I started finding out what the word REALITY meant. He was a washed-up rock guy with $498,000 in debt that he expected ME to go to work to pay his $9,000 per month debt. He lied about everything, gave me herpes, cheated on me, abused me and verbally and emotionally devastated me. I have yet to recover and still have not had sex since 2 days after I married him. He hurt me so badly during that with cruel battery that I am afraid to be that vulnerable with anyone again. I tried to kill myself after a particularly brutal beating with his unconscionable statements to me about my sexuality and looks, (both lies), when he told me I HAD to go out and prostitute myself to support him while he fucked other women. I don't blame eHarmony, but I blame online dating that allows naive women like me to be tortured bt sociopathic men who say anything to get you to fall in love. Please be forewarned. |
