Thumbs down for match.com

I am a fairly nice-looking black guy living in Austin, TX. I have not went on one date or even received one phone number.

I think most of the profiles are fake. But I also think there is a problem with the way match, uh, helps you match what you are looking for.

For example. As I said, I am a black guy with a good career. But I think my race is stopping me from going out on dates. Most of the profiles I see are women who, when they check the race of the man they are seeking, often check white, hispanic, or asian. And the profiles that check "no preference" usually never email me back.

You can't blame a woman for liking what she likes. I just wish match.com would add a search engine to their site which would let you know which women really would date a black guy so you dont have to go through so many profiles to see which women would give you a chance based on your race.
