In reference to your article and personal experience online, I appreciate the fact that you do respond to those you aren't interested with a short and polite email.

The fact that 40% or so of those men responded negatively shouldn't detract you from responding to all emails, be they nay or in the affirmative. The fact is that they (the 40%) are showing a lack of maturity and should be re-confirming your good reasons (& personal judgement) for why you initially said "Not interested" to them in the first place.

Another important reason is regarding class and good manners. Even if others don't display good manners, keep showing class and do what's right. Men like me can take a "No" from a woman. That's part of the dating game and that's what separates Men from the Boys. Take care and good luck.
