I wish I would have read these reviews before signing up... sigh.

Here's an interesting fact: there are quite a few members who appear to have "outdated ages". There isn't any functionality built into the online forms to auto-update age, and there isn't any indication of how recently a member has been active on the site. So you see numerous examples like this: 42 year-old man, A.B. Harvard '82. Computing...computing... wow. Did an inordinately high percentage of folks on this website graduate from college in their teens? Doubt it.

What this means for you, gentle dater, is that you might send a nice message to someone who:
1) is several years older than you think s/he is
2) forgot to inactivate their (clearly outdated) profile, OR, their profile is being kept on the site by the administrator as filler after the membership has lapsed or been terminated
3) is now happily married and living in the suburbs, in another state

The point is, you just don't know. There is no indication of how recently anyone has interacted with the site. It has an eerie, false storefront look and feel...
