eHarmony--giving even the average looking/ugly chicks a huge ego... I swear to God, if you're a guy, good luck with any online dating service. They all suck balls, and eHarmony is no different. Let me first say that I went online dating because I have quite a busy life and I don't often have a chance to go out hitting on random women at bars, nor do I really want to. I thought that this site would be nice for a couple reasons--1) I could immediately weed out people I have nothing in common with, and 2) I could meet girls that I would normally never have the chance to meet. Seems like two good things. Due to the fact that there are probably 15 guys per every girl on these sites, your chances of being noticed are severely limited. Not to mention that almost everyone doing online dating has some kind of enormous physical or mental defect. I've been on eHarmony for a bit over 2 weeks. I've been sent over 60 'matches', been physically attracted to maybe 5 or so of them (sorry to be superficial, but let's be honest here, it's important) and out of those 5, I ended up talking to one girl, and eventually meeting her. She's really sweet and nice, but probably not my type physically. She's someone who I'd probably have never noticed had I seen her in real life at some random place. Even she admits to having tons and tons of guys falling all over themselves for her on eHarmony. She probably gets 10 communication requests a day. How many have I received? None. That's right, not one. Maybe at most, 10 girls have looked at my profile. I send out communication requests to girls I'm not even interested in, just to see if they'll respond. I either get closed out or ignored. Let me also say that I am by no means ugly. I am tall (6'2"), extremely physically fit, very social and outgoing, and quite good looking. I have never had a problem finding a girl before. I can honestly say that this was a total waste of money, and I'm going back to the old way of doing it--just going up to the cute girls. This online dating shit is for suckers.
