I feel guilty giving eharmony even one star but there is no option for zero. Just last week it was revealed that women in Edmonton AB, Canada lost almost $300,000 responding to men on internet dating sites. Yes I know right away you are going to say well they shouldn't have been so naive to have sent the money to men they hadn't met but in listening to the women's stories these are men that had joined these sites after all their "scientific matching" methods and they had been corresponding for quite some time. Turns out it's a scam out of Nigeria. Two site mentioned, eharmony and Plenty of Fish which just happen to be the two sites with the least favourable reviews.. I too considered spending money and joining but decided to do a little research first. All the problems spoke of in these reviews I have experienced (like free communications weekends???? right!) and now this comes out in our news. I think they are just preying on a very vulnerable group of individuals without any credibility to back up their "methods". Save your money or risk losing even more.
