I was about to subscribe to E harmony but thought it wouldn't hurt to check out the reviews. Thank goodness I did. I had tried to join a year ago but was declined because I was not yet legally divorced....mmm ok....well that seemed a little strange but left it alone....I got my divorce papers last week so here I was ready to go at it. In reading a few reviews I was compelled to write mine. Perhaps a more general review of dating sites as I have tried a few. As a professional male in my late forties, here is what I have discovered.
Most of the reviews I read were from women and I want you fine women to know that at least I, have had very similiar experiences with dating sites. Such as poor matches or matches that I would consider riiculous.....so I am fit and look a little younger than my age and cant stand organized religion myself and yet I am matched with over weight women that appear not to give a rats ass about their appearance.. but require someone that loves " god " .... please...and then I am shallow because I want someone that does care?...give me a break....that is if I get a picture. I no longer respond ( at all ) to profiles without pics. I figure if you are hiding something at the start you will be doing that 'till the end. I also have found that many women have no intention of meeting anyone because the sites are merely entertainment for them.
It seems so unfortunate that this method doesn't seem to be very effective...on the surface it seemed smart to me, you cut through the bull real quick and see...now I have resorted to the old fashioned way. I am in a small centre so my chances of meeting an open minded gal that doesn't want to get married next week seems unlikely.
Anyway, good luck to us all...we seem to need it.
