A Review of eHarmonyWrite your own review of eHarmony! Reviewed By: kerry Location: va Sex: Female Rating: ***** Date: February 14, 2009 Yea, eharmony's pretty lame. I saw all these commercials for the free communication weekend for valentines day, and was like, couldn't hurt. I've already learned that you never pay for these crap sites (pof is a great free one), but free communication for 3 days couldn't hurt. So I sign up, do their stupid multiple choice bs for 15 minutes, then begin getting several decent matches (apparently pretty rare based on reviews). First problem...no pictures! Huh? That's a new one; I've never seen a dating site that doesn't post pictures up front. I guess the gist is 'you shouldn't care', but who's just blindly meeting people you've never even seen before? Yea, that seems smart. I wonder if the idiots that built this site meet people that way (doubtful). Anyway, I did overlook that aspect because of a couple of great looking profiles. So I go to communicate and then...it says ONLY SUBSCRIBERS CAN COMMUNICATE. Subscribers meaning, idiots that pay them money. Um, nope. And nowhere was that in the ad. I mean, "FREE" communication sounds like you know...free to communicate lol. So I wait for someone to communicate with me first. Some sites make it possible to reply if paying people message you first. So the next day, a guy messages me, and I try to respond, and...nope, paying people only. So, basically their free communication weekend is a total scam. Because you have to be a paying subscriber in order to message freely. Huh? Anyway, don't bother with eharmful. There's plenty of free sites out there that aren't looking to rip off people. *Oh to the people that think matches are ignoring them: those people probably can't respond if they want to. I'm sure that guy that messaged me just thinks some stuck up b#&^% lol. |
