Reading all these comments has been very enlightening! I spent two years with eharmony with the idea that a decent average person was just fine. I never received that many matches for a long time -- maybe 2-3 every three months -- and those I did get were a menagerie of the oddest looking characters I have ever seen. Trust me, average is fine -- these were just terrifying. Those that I did correspond with mostly never answered back or had such problems from divorces that they couldn't bring themselves to actually go out with someone! When I quit, my box stayed open, which I found odd, and it rapidly filled up with literally scores of "matches" who of course could not get in touch with me. Buyer beware!
