I'll tell you my experience and then you can decide if eharmony is all it claims. About 6 years ago I joined eharmony and was matched with quite a few women one who eventually became my wife. 10 months later our daughter was born. Despite my best efforts three years later we ended our marriage. I do have a wonderful little girl now. After waiting for about a year I decided to give it another try. This time I was matches mostly with women who were very heavy (health is important to me) or lived 300 plus miles away or didn't respond. I have seen many other complaints about eharmonys dishonest policy of claiming matches from discontinued members. As my time was within a week of ending I posted in my profile the expiration date of my membership. I encourage everyone with a membership about to expire to do the same. When I confronted customer service about "dead" profiles they responded with an obviously canned response with their company line about how they never know when someone may just be taking a break and may renew after seeing a match they are interested in. I haven't decided where to try next but you won't find me on eharmony.
