A Review of True.comWrite your own review of True.com! Reviewed By: Calla Morris Location: Santa barbara Sex: Female Rating: ***** Date: October 22, 2008 WARNING! YOUR BANKING INFORMATION IS NOT SAFE WITH THIS COMPANY! I have never signed up for any online dating service, but true.com managed to get a hold of my bank card number and began charging me. I was able to find that it was not a person that had hacked my computer, but a form of spyware that was able to retrieve my bank card number off my computer. The first of many charges were true.com. From September 4th, 2008 to late october, this company charged my card repeatedly. It was only after true.com started charging me that other companies began to, as well. When I called the number listed for true.com on my bank statement, I spoke with Hong L. (He wouldn't give a full last name). Whenever I asked him how his company got my information, all he would say is that a person must have gotten my card number and signed me up for it.....Do you know of any hacker that would buy YOU something after they stole your bank card information? Also, again, I was able to rule out a person. Hong maintained that they don't send spam (which is untrue, if you look at other reviews), and that their company doesn't buy information or use any kind of adware or spyware, stating that it would be illegal to do so. However, this is the ONLY way they could have gotten my information. Mine is not the only review to touch on shady practices that true.com engages in.....please read others and make an informed decision before you trust these people with your bank information! |
