I was a member of eharmony off & on for 5 years. In that time I was matched with 637 people. I was NOT an eharmony fan due to several reasons. #1. It cost too much. #2. Many of the matches were not members. #3. There were next to no local matches. #4. No one was willing to travel or relocate. These are just a few of the main reasons I did not like eharmony. I have even written a few reviews on this site bashing eharmony. Right before my last membership expired I had a local match who ended up being my soulmate. We have been married for a year now & am so glad I didnt give up. When I joined my expectations were way too high. I expected to meet the girl of my dreams in 6 months or a year. I was sure that eharmony was a scam. I was mad. Felt I had been ripped off. The truth was that I had unreal expectations. eharmony was only a tool. I blamed eharmony becasue it did not meet my expectations. I blamed eharmony because my matches did not meet my standards. I blamed eharmony because I did not get enough matches. I look back now & see that almost all of the matches were compatible with me. eharmony takes time....a lot of time. But for me was worth it. Those who say they joined for 3 or 6 months & did not meet the love of their life & quit are a joke. how foolish to have that type of expectation. Even eharmony says most of their sucess stories were eharmony members for 2 or more years. eharmony is not a "fast food" or "drive through" dating site. It takes time. For me it was 5 years. Dont give up & dont expect to meet someone in 6 months.
