I just wanted to throw my opinion in the mix.

Let me tell you a little about my 'eharmony' experience.

After paying for two months of eharmony I ended up feeling cheated and wondering why I didn't find "the love of my life" like advertised. I didn't even get to go on a single date!

I received and responded to over 95% of over 100 matches. This includes responding to matches of widely different ages, heights, and with extremely different and often incompatible goals, not to mention men all across this great country.

So, why is it that I get email from men in locations up to 700 miles away from me and even Hawaii? I thought they had millions of members so why weren't there more matches that live closer to me?

Out of all these matches I did receive I only closed three due to total lack of compatibility or chemistry. I responded to all the matches they sent me that were 10+ years older than me and who seemed more boring than my grandfather. I responded to guys younger than me who overwhelmingly wanted to meet someone younger, settle down and have kids. (I am past that age and don't have any desire to raise a family again.)

And another thing I disliked about their site is the emphasis they place on youth and attractiveness. Don't they understand that there are those of us over 30 who want to date as well? The amount of men on their site that want someone young, and very attractive is astounding! These are the same men who are lucky to be average looking. Talk about being unrealistic.

All I'm looking for is someone average looking who I find interesting and emotionally available.

So where are these people? I didn't find them on eharmony that is for sure. Eharmony gets the married players and weirdo’s just like the other sites.

All in all eharmony is overpriced, full of outdated/ nonpaying profiles, and poorly lacking in customer service.

Eharmony doesn't live up to the hype. No way, no how. Don't waste your time with eharmony.
