I was a widow in South Florida when I learned about ChristianCafe.com. I used my free trial time, had several pleasant conversations with other members via email, and paid my membership. Yes, there are LOTS of people on the site, but I agree that the profile questions are excellent and the people I corresponded with were truthful.

On July 18, 2006, I read a profile that really resonated with me and emailed the gentleman. We corresponded for about a week, then decided to meet on webcam for a "date." Our advice is to cover ANY dating experience with continuous prayer, be wise as a serpent and innocent as a dove in everything you do, and NEVER underestimate God! :-)
