My experience with Christian Cafe was a little different from other posters- a guy I met (in person) showed me his profile on CC saying he'd check it out periodically during the 3 day freebies, but had little success with it..however, looking at his profile online myself, I found out over time what he had stated on his profile were lies- there DEFINITELY should be a box for someone who drinks more than just a "Social Drinker" (CC's choice of terminology) "Raging Alcoholic" is more like it! What really offended me was that there didn't seem to be any safeguards for people like him that lied in his profile. I guess I should be glad that I didn't invest any more time in him or the website, but it should serve as a warning to anyone using online dating sites: don't believe everything you read! Just because he quotes from the Bible doesn't make him a better person! This man in question stated he had hair, yet in reality he was bald, he said he was fit, though he had a beer belly to go nicely with his drinking problem. Interestingly enough, when I met him, he couldn't drive because of a DUI. So "Social Drinker" just doesn't cut it. Oh,and yes, his profile still being active while we were dating didn't help his case either!
