Definitely not a site recommended to men looking for women.

There are at least 10-15 guys per woman on this site. It is probably a lot higher if one had access to the actual numbers of fake female ads or members who have not visited in months to years.

1) Do not expect that the women are going to be what you are fantasizing about. Because of the stigma associated with such a site, people are not going to show you their faces as often. And when you see a close up of someone's breasts, just imagine the rolls of fat that you are not seeing in their cropped photo. Because of the distorted gender ratio, women on this site not usually accustomed to attention in their everyday lives are being fought over constantly. And because of that, aren't you just a bit worried about what social disease you might catch?

The street goes both ways, though, and you can be sure that the AFF sidewalks are not lined with classy, elegant guys with winsome smiles, good diction and nice teeth.

2) There are fake ads galore. Especially "standard" (i.e. non-paying) members. If you send them a message they will reply with a canned response to email them at y@hoo or the g-mail place, so as to not get busted by the website's filters against spam/phishing. Basically, they're looking for you to send them an email so they can get your email address for spam lists. The paying members (gold or silver members) were more legitimate, but you're still dealing with that M/F ratio. Seemingly aware of male frustration with the site, Adult Friend Finder seems to be integrating more porn into their wares to satisfy the sexually frustrated.

3) If you have a proverbial "face for radio" you're going to have a harder time at this site, a conventional dating site, or in real life. A photo of your 14 inch member might help, but probably will not carry the day. There is still that M/F ratio to tend with and your chances are going to be much better at a regular dating site.

4) Most of the real women on the site are looking for dating and not just hookups. Don't believe me? Then read the profiles and read the nice article on Velocity Press. This is what women on regular dating sites are looking for anyhow, just with a better M/F ratio. I am not writing out of frustration or bitterness, as I had been able to meet up with someone from friend finder. We basically met to be friends to see if there was chemistry and whether it would go further. And I like her. But hell, I have that same options elsewhere but with a plenty more to choose from. Frankly I had better luck with the match site in the past. Meet some people you find interesting, go out on some dates, start sleeping together, if you're not really into it than move on. I remember dating a nice, educated woman from a conventional site and lying in bed together. She remarked, "My mother always said you better sample the candy before you commit to buying the whole box."

5) I can't speak to couples looking for couples or gay/lesbian searches, but the word is that the site delivers more on that end.

But the bottom line is that there are way more guys than women here. Guys, I am not trying to be too hard on the site. They are a little sleazy, they want to make money like any other company, and they seem to at least be making some effort to limit spam/fakes, but you can do much better the conventional route. Your chances of just having casual hookups here are very slim. You will have to "work at it" for many hours on this site. You will do much better working at it in real life or at a site with a more even gender ratio (the US population is close to 50-50 male to female). The more time and cash you waste on this site, the easier you are making it for they guys who aren't there. I am not renewing, so those of you remaining on the site, thanks for making it easier for me on the outside.
