I see men complaining about golddiggers because they set their income requirements too high. That's fair. I probably would not want a man who I perceived to be after my money. Ironically, I am more financially well off than most of the men that I have met. I'd be happy enough to find a compatible person with a comparable income.

The flip side of this is that men are attracted to beauty every bit as much as women are attracted to financial security. There have actually been studies on this relating to our most primal instincts in selecting appropriate mates.

A man looks at the picture and he makes a judgment. A woman looks at the income and makes a judgment. Is one worse than the other? Everybody can judge that for themselves. I do not know this for a fact, but I would guess that the more physically attractive a woman, the higher she sets that income bar.

For now, I would suggest that you bypass women that you perceive as gold diggers. I can guarantee that there is some much older guy out there, who doesn't care if she wants his money.
