I just finished setting up an eHarmony profile . . . took the test, completed the introduction page, decided on "must have's" and "can't stands," uploaded my pictures, received matches. I saw a feature on my home page that allows ID verification, called RelyID. Thinking this would be a great way to reassure matches that I am really who I say I am, and that I am really the age I claim, I paid the $12.95 fee. After they took my payment, I was led to a page that simply asked for my name, address and phone number. Then they said sorry, my ID could not be verified!!

I am so steamed. I am real, I've lived at my home for ten years, I'm employed, have good credit. Why on earth would I pay for ID verification, if I am a fake? I just paid $12.95 for nothing. This makes me think that if I pay the high subscription rate, I will likely also get NOTHING.

Maybe I should be glad I found out before I paid anything more. Beware of this feature!
