I've been on match.com for a little over a year and met around 15 girls. It's definitely not an easy way to meet women. It's very time consuming. I'm 26, I make a decent amount of money, and consider myself pretty good looking. Even so, only around 5-10% of my emails get a response. The ones that do get a response, I usually have to spend weeks emailing back and forth before meeting or talking on the phone. Most of them stop responding before we get a chance to meet. So, on average I only end up meeting around one girl per month. Each meeting represents roughly a month's worth of work, and most of those don't go past one date. I've sent out well over 1000 emails. I've had one relationship that lasted about a month, and 2 girls I went out with for about 3 weeks.

I have met some decent women on the site, but do not sign up expecting to send out a few emails and find a relationship right away. This is not as easy as signing up for an online bank or buying something on ebay. We are dealing with fickle and unpredictable women here. Be grateful for any responses you get, and never stop trying to improve your profile with better pictures and text.
