Unlike "girl" below, I wouldn't even join this site if it was free to me. Nobody needs this crap anymore. If you must go online, go with a top free website like Plenty of Fish. It has made HUGE strides in the past year and will soon blow past all the paid websites. In my home state, it has grown 3 or 4 times bigger in the past year and a half, so no need for Match.com or this website anymore. Yes, I did get some results from Plenty of Fish, but I was not serious and did not follow up on them. Eventually it will get big enough at POF for them to have a really serious database and at that point all the paid websites will go totally free or stay small, because you don't have to buy a cow when they are giving away milk for free. Paid membership websites such as AS has been what has wrecked the potential of online dating. You need a huge database for online dating to work. When a very large percentage of all singles and those looking for partners in any single area are online, then online dating will be a real reality. For now, it is too much of a lunatic fringe thing. Those who do the bar scenes and other meeting places correctly are having more luck.
