After many sad attempts at meeting people, which all miserably failed, my girlfriend urged me to try the internet personals. I was reluctant and thought to myself, what a loser I am! I finally gave in and gave it a try. I corrosponded with a few different men, and went on a date with my first internet guy. IT WAS HORRIBLE!! He cursed, he ate like a cow, and was all together disgusting. I thought oh Lord is this what internet dating is like! I said once was enough and left him with no so much as a handshake. I then went on a couple other dates with a few men and they were very nice, although not for me, until I clicked on a guy with a cowboy hat! I saw this man, and sent his picture to my girlfriends. They all teased me, whats with the hat? I kind of liked the hat! Anyway, we both worked in Center City Philadelphia and met one night after work. He walked in, as I had arrived first, and looked so incredibly handsome! I felt my heart start to race! The great thing about internet dating is that I knew so much about him as we had conversed but by email and by phone. I felt totally comfortable with him. We sat there from 5:30pm until 2:00am! I knew this was the man I was going to marry! He was a sweetheart! We talked and laughed and looked into each others eyes for hours. He was intelligent, handsome, and witty, all the characteristics that I look for. needless to say, I moved in about 10 months later, and we were married a year after that. I have found the love of my life on the internet! Not all the internet people are people with issues and such. Most, I found, were busy professionals that were past the "bar scene" and this was a way of getting themselves, and myself, out there. I HIGHLY recommend internet dating. You have so much knowledge of the person before you even meet that you have tons of things to talk about, and you know their interests and they know the same about you. Myself, my sister and my girlfriend have all married sucessful men via the internet. My advice, dont knock it till you try it, and EVEN THEN, keep trying until you meet your Mr. Right, HE IS OUT THERE!!!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
