1. Believe me, women get the "take one look at your photo and close" treatment too. I've had 123 closures, only about 15 were sent by me to the guys. It's disappointing. 2. Re: mismatches: obviously there is something to be desired in eharmony's matching process. I got a really creepy match the other day from this guy who kept mentioning his nephew, over and over, as in, hanging out with his nephew is one of his favorite ways to spend leisure time, one of the things he can't live without, one of the most important things to him. Yikes-a-rama. Think he's on the wrong site. All I can figure is that when I did my profile and preferences, I didn't rank certain of my preferences strongly enough to screen some of these characters out. 3. A word of support to my single friends reading this: don't feel you have to defend your looks here. The fact that you are willing to freely share your personal experiences about these dating sites so others can make an informed choice shows you are generous and kind. And some of us still sound hopeful and optimistic despite the bad experiences! That's fantastic. And way more important than whether you wear glasses or not. :-)
