A Review of True.comWrite your own review of True.com! Reviewed By: Bill Location: Kansas City, MO Sex: Male Rating: ***** Date: July 15, 2006 Like many have said on here, 1 star is 1 star too many! True.com is a scam! Not to mention that they advertise on MySpace which is a source of many who might fall to this scam. I signed up, paid for a membership, and then started receiving "winks" from people I wouldn't be caught dead with! Not to mention, responses to "winks" that I supposedly sent out. I contacted "customer service" on July 4, knowing that my membership, which was rarely used, was soon to expire. I explictly told them that I did not want to be billed again and would possibly continue to use it until the membership period ran out. I was told that I would need to contact them again via phone to cancel before July 13. Between July 7 and July 14, I was out of the country and away from any communications device, other than satellite phone, hence I could not contact them to cancel. I called today and both the rep and the manager told me that they would not refund my membership, they would cancel the membership, but now have $50 of my money for no services. Hmm...take someone's money without consent, the person cancels, and True wins. Sounds fraudulent to me. |
