A Review of True.comWrite your own review of True.com! Reviewed By: Alvierre Location: NY Sex: Male Rating: ***** Date: June 12, 2006 1 star is 1 star too many. True.com is a total scam and they should be forced out of business as a matter of urgency. I sent an e-mail within the 1-week grace period to cancel my free subscription after I was unable to reach them by telephone. 1 day after the 1 week's grace period, I called to confirm the cancellation and waited 20min to get to talk to a rep. This rep, one "Jessica", said my e-mail cancellation was not valid as their site says cancellation must be by phone. She said she would cancel my subscription but that I would be billed $49.99. For what??? I got about 3 randonm contacts during the week's subscription; none of these contacts came close to matching my required characteristics. This service is so appalling that they cannot conceivably make money legitimately and instead resort to stealing $49.99 sums of money from unsuspecting victims. Please file your complaints with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC; https://rn.ftc.gov/pls/dod/wsolcq$.startup?Z_ORG_CODE=PU01) and help get those true.com scoundrels off the Internet. Also, alert the companies that host true.com ads about these scammers' unscrupulous behavior. And keep your records of your transactions with true.com. They will sooner or later be sued and be made to refund some portion of the money they have stolen. |
