A Review of Yahoo! PersonalsWrite your own review of Yahoo! Personals! Reviewed By: Jenny Location: Raleigh, NC Sex: Female Rating: ***** Date: October 19, 2005 I subscribed to the site about a year ago for 3 months. The first guy I met was a possessive idiot who wanted me to commit to him after 2 dates . . . I questioned him about that and then he dumped me! (But I was very happy about that) I dated the next guy for 3-4 months and I became infatuated with him. He seemed to be into to me as well, as he made quite the effort to wine and dine me (it made me a little uncomfortable b/c I'm not a golddigger but I appreciated it). Unfortunately, halfway through our "relationship" he began making new profiles on all of the other popular sites. I eventually confronted him and he dumped me, claiming he was not in love with me and he felt he should be by that point. I haven't been the same since but perhaps I'm taking it all too seriously. I think he was playing me b/c he enjoyed the sex and parading me around, but he had no intention of taking it any further, even though he led me to believe he liked me in the long term sense. Tried to get back into the dating scene but all of the guys were losers just looking for sex. Finally pulled all of my profiles. I really question the quality of the people on Yahoo and other sites. It seems the online dating promotes a "throw-away" attitude towards others and turns people into addicts b/c the next one is just a click away . . . Yahoo is a better site than most, but there are too many fakes and people stay on with inactive profiles. Internet dating is not the wave of the future . . .we need to take it back to reality. |
