A Review of Match.comWrite your own review of Match.com! Reviewed By: matchlessdotcom Location: New Jersey Sex: Male Rating: ***** Date: October 07, 2005 When it comes to the internet and dating...as James Brown said, "it's a woman's world." Make no mistake, for every woman you email there will be at least 2 others for women that are "wall flowers" and possibly 50 for supermodel look alikes. I tried Match.com hoping that the sheer numbers would turn the odds in my favor, afterall, it's all about the numbers...despite websites promoting a "clever profile" approach. Let's be honest men.....most women will judge you by the time they have seen your picture or physical attributes (namely height) regardless of how provokative your profile is. I went on 2 dates, the second one being a disaster. While some could argue that my track record prior to that had been bad and so internet dating did work, the emasculating quality of getting NO RESPONSE from the 35 other women I had emailed to get to those 2 women I dated was NOT WORTH IT. For any guy with high standards, especially on looks, approach a woman in person where she's not guarded or has little expectation i.e. Barnes N Noble, Grocery Store, Church, Doctor Office. Otherwise, if you try the predictable places, Clubs, Gym, or Internet, expect a whole lot of rejection unless you have a well chiseled jaw, are 6 feet, and make decent money. |
