RIPOFF - DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CREDIT CARD NUMBER!!!

I have attended several hurrydates in the past 3 years in San Diego. At first the parties were great - lots of average to above average women & men. About 2 years ago i actually met a wonderful women and had a serious relationship for over a year. We broke up, but are still good friends. Several others at the same party were contenders, but i lost track of them after getting serious with the one.

Unfortunately, when i started going to HD parties again early this year the dynamics had changed. Not as many women, and the ones who are there are not the quality of 2 years ago. Most of the parties i signed up for were cancelled, sometimes with little notice. They automatically reschedule you to the next party, and in some cases those have been cancelled too.

The last cancellation was over 4 months ago. I asked for a refund since i was going to be out of town at the next party. The refund took several months to get, and then only after 4 or 5 persistent emails. They said (for some reason that sounded fishy at the time) that they could not refund my credit card and had to mail me a check. Soon after i received the refund check they recharged my credit card. Now i am fighting them over this new charge, which they claim is for a "subscription".

Judging from my experience and the other messages here, HD seems to be in a downward business spiral and probably will not last long. Companies in this situation will often try to get as much $$$money as possible before going out of business - including making questionable charges on your credit card. I would be very, very careful about giving them a CC number.
